Dr Hakky did that for me, so did Dr Clavell before I had to change doctors. If they arent open to answering what is likely one of the top three questions they receive from patients, find a new surgeon.

Hey thanks for your response. I dont understand what all the argument is about but I thought you responded politely and gave me advice. Yes, I couldve searched, but I kept seeing mixed results about size increasing/decreasing. I guess the best thing is to go to a good surgeon. This alleviated my concerns a lot that I will likely not lose much size if at all, I might even gain!

Thank you.
Have you started working with a surgeon? If not this should definitely be a question you ask them as you interview them, its a common and warranted question they should answer candidly.
Everyone’s situation is different and while I have seen all the postings that say implants help with girth, I was the exception and have lost girth. In fact my dr told me prior to examination that I would likely gain girth. After exam he told me I may lose girth. Everyone situation is unique

Hey Ben, notbyet. Im seeing what my insurance covers. If Im unable to find a good surgeon Ill have to take out a loan, but its something I have no choice but to do. Can I ask why you were an exception? Was it due to curvature/scarring or something like that?

I say exception because almost all the replies and comments you will get on here say you gain or at least maintain girth. I lost it. I was pretty thick, it seems most of the cylinders max out size around 5.5” and then your natural penis tissue will make up the rest. Some say the Titan will eventually stretch out to where you were pre-op. I dont know. Right now I am pretty good at 6” at the base and 5.75” mid-shaft.
This is why I say to talk to the doctor above all else (the manufacturer’s rep too) there is so much anecdotal evidence on this matter you can really get a skewed perception.

Bent Ben, I think your observations are fairly accurate. The truth is that implanted mens results can vary by quite a lot. I believe that likely the biggest variable is mens devotion to cycling. I "think" some men will say that they cycle daily but you never can tell for sure.

I generally will reply to threads that say that AMS products can't reach 6" of girth. Not only me, but several other members have post AMS implant 6" girths. Btw, I only measure girth at mid shaft. I really doubt that in my sexually active life that I've ever got all my base in for more than a second or two at any one time.

But it seems that logically some men might not be in the range that the two major implant makers support. At some point they're not going to make implants for the upper fringes of size. Where that fringe is isn't known. Plus its hard to tell if we have members that reach those huge sizes. Then if you look at penis size studies & some of the claims that are in FT's archived posts. A few guys are one in several millions of size. So who knows? Just my guess, if those original size claims are true. There is a decent chance that they won't be happy with an implant of any brand.

My simple answer to the original question is I regained all my original length and at the base (6”) I’m quite a bit bigger in girth, mid I’m a little bigger 5-3/4”than I was pre, and at the glans I’m a slight bit bigger also at 5-1/2”. Like others said, everybody’s results will vary. It took me better part of a year to get to these measurements and I was very consistent pumping twice daily for 30 minutes ea time for a full year.
59 years old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong and loving it!

I’m 4.5” midshaft and 4.25” base. Will they be sizing me for midshaft size or will I be limited by the smaller base size? Also, will I be smaller post-op? I dont have much girth to give so even every .1 counts…

Hi Goose,

I think your girth will remain the same and most likely increase based on the measurements you posted. Some guys with 5.5+ girth have reported loss in girth but i havent seen/ remember anyone with your measurements getting less girth.

i went from 5.5 to around 5 without arousal, however i did gain length so it was all balanced.

Did you ever run out of juice in the pump? Did the pump ever flatten out at some point? If so, did you continue to cycle after that?

Yes, at about 13 months I ran out of fluid and when maxed out the pump itself would go flat and not deflate. Scared the crap out of me the first time but then realized it’s just truly maxed out. After reaching this point I backed off to just pumping for sex, masterbation or I just need to feel pumped up. So I still pump at least twice a week but most weeks 3 times.
