From what I have read, there's 2 complications from oversizing. One is the S-shaped buckling of an implant, and the other is erosion.

Looking at the MRI of the patient with S-shaped buckling I can conclude that this isn't an issue for me, since I'm not completely buckled over. In this situation you feel pain all the time as well (inflated/deflated). I do have a mild S-shape which still means I was either aggressively sized or over-sized. If I was aggressively sized I would hope to see an improvement in the next month. If i was oversized then I have the risk of erosion... Those pictures do not look fun... Currently I do not experience any pain while inflating / deflating so I will need to monitor my pain levels moving forward. If I do start to feel more and more pain then I will contact the urologist.

Mine was similar to yours when i came out of surgery. At my first visit to my surgeon post op he held it by the base and bent it straight.
Was brutal and a bit painful but he only did it once and it was nice and straight from then on.

My glans were like that after my surgery. We are all different though. The thing is that reoperations in most all cases except infection have a 6 month wait time. Some cases of device failure will go earlier but healing needs to occur so the sutures inside will hold. One member had the sutures inside fail with reoperations too soon. And the device came out through the opening. As you are just over a month post op just do the best to follow your doctors instructions. And reach out to your doctor and let him/her know what is going on.

Before you do anything that has been posted in this thread or on other threads run it by your doctor first. Doctors and men differ a lot and you need to do what is best for you and not what was best for someone else with a different doctor.

What I did was to partially inflate using one hand to pump and the other hand to position my glands on top of the distal cylinder ends where I thought they needed to be. As inflation required 2 hands I would pull the glans away from the cylinder tips and then pull them back down and work my way down so I could keep them in place and use 2 hands to reach 100%. I also did some stretching where I would pull out away from my body to the front, up, down, right, and left. I would use my fingers on the bottom and my thumb on top at the base of my glans.

As I posted you should really let your doctor know and follow the doctors instructions. After you have been released by your doctor you can decide if you want to try other methods posted on this site or even on other sites. Many problems will self correct and you most likely have many months to go before considering a surgical solution. Again it is early on with this surgery as most times full healing will most times 6 months and 3 months is the quickest. My best guess is that there will be improvement but I am not a doctor. And I don't know how much. You just don't want to do something that might make things worse. You picked your doctor to do this surgery. I would see what your doctor says. If you are not happy with what your doctor is doing you may want to get another opinion. Not all doctors do reoperations and will send you to one who does. These are all just a guess. Your best bet is to contact your doctor as your doctor will know more about you and what was done during surgery.

Best of luck to you.

Thank you for your detailed reply! I will do the glans advice you mentioned. Our cycling routine sounds identical.

My doctor informed me today that the curve is caused by fibrosis and to massage the area twice the day with alot of intensity to break the fibrosis and reduce the curvature. He said cycling will also help straighten things out. He said it will either disappear with time or persist. Im gonna do my best to make sure it disappears!

Good. I’m glad you’ve spoken to your doctor. Just let me caution you about doing your best.

You are dealing with a delicate part of your anatomy. You would be wise to proceed with some discretion.

This is the voice of experience. 40 yrs ago, I was a buck sergeant in the Army and God knows what I was doing but I managed to absolutely destroy one of my knees. I had (I don’t remember why) paid for and kept a catastrophic health insurance plan. So instead of having an Army hospital slice and dice my knee, I was able to afford the best sports medicine guy in DFW area rebuild it thru a scope. In my haste to rehab it as quickly as I could to make a deadline to attend Officer Candidate School I managed to pop my stitches not once but twice. (17 days after surgery I was running 7 miles every evening. 7.5 mg Vicodin makes for an interesting run.)

At age 60 I tore both rotator cuffs. At the same time? Who knows? But in my hurry to recover I kept forgetting that I was supposed to wear a sling and wasn’t supposed to raise my arms above my head. Or pick up anything > 10 lbs.

I survived. Healed up. But you’re dealing with your dick. Be smarter than me. Massage doesn’t mean beat it until the fibrosis surrenders.

Follow the doctor’s instructions, be patient, and don’t rule out getting another opinion.

As I discovered with my implant, time can be your best friend. Some of the things that annoyed me early in were resolved simply by the passage of time.

Your body can do a lot to heal itself from the surgery, if you are willing to give it a chance.

Fibrosis, eh? That makes perfect sense. Did you have the fibrosis before surgery?

I have had amazing progress today, and when I get excited it makes me want to do the opposite of what Im supposed to do during recovery.

Lost Sheep wrote:Fibrosis, eh? That makes perfect sense. Did you have the fibrosis before surgery?

To be honest I think my surgeon made that up because I had 0 fibrosis before BUT I do have great updates!

S Shape update:
I thought about the angle/cause of the S shape and realized that my first bend is upwards like an 'L' shape. The root cause of that (I am guessing) is that I have literally kept my penis pointed up this entire time. Before the surgery I bought tight underwear and had my dick tucked pointing north the whole time (7+weeks now). As of yesterday I decided fuck it, let gravity do its thing and wore my regular loose boxers and just let it all hang naturally. For the first couple of hours I felt a lot of discomfort at the bends but I knew my plan was working. I took a bath just now (24 hours later) and the first thing I noticed was that S curve in the flaccid state is GONE! My flaccid penis looks normal. Next, in a warm bath as soon as I started pumping the S curve came back. So I pumped to 60% max, then I wrapped my index fingers under the base of my penis (where the urethra is) and used my thumbs to push down/smooth out the S curve from the top (dorsal veins/arteries) and my S curve went away at 60% max (pic included below)!!!! After I was done celebrating I pumped up to 100%, I noticeably got alot more pumps in than the other day (not true 100% because the pump still has lots of room to go). At 100% my S-curve came back, no matter how hard i tried to manipulate it, it wouldn't straighten out. I figure the S happens when the implant is stretching my penis back to its original length. At this point I just need to be patient and keep cycling. Over time I truly believe this issue will go away.

Tips in glans update:
After cycling to my new 100% it felt like my cylinder tip popped into place in my glans. I had a very light sudden pain that went away immediately. Now my right tip rests 25-50% in my glans even when soft. Before the tip was not in my glans soft.

Pump update:
I was in the gym today (first week back lifting heavy again), and I was stretching after my workout. While I was doing 'the world's greatest stretch' (its all over google) I felt a little tear between my pump/nutsack. It didn't hurt, it was a good pain of relief. Now my pump feels like its floating around in my sack and my left testicle doesn't ride high anymore. My left nuts chilling with the boys!

Too long didn't read (summary):
Keeping my dick pointed upwards for 7 weeks may have caused the S shape. Once I let my dick hang free the S shape in my flaccid went away in 24 hours.
At 60% inflation the S shape came back where I managed to push it back to being straight (didn't hurt - pic below).
At 100% the S shape is back, but i believe over time with cycling it will go away.
If your pump is stuck try the worlds greatest stretch (once youre healed). I felt a rip right away and my pumps free floating now.

Cheers,
JohnDoe

johndoe365 wrote:Hey friends,
Just started cycling on Monday. When I am fully inflated my penis has a bend / s shape near the base.
Pre-op my dick was 6 inches hard, post-op its at 4.5 inches inflated.
My cycling method is 1-2 times per day for at least 30 mins. I pump as much as I can, move the penis around (hurts like a mofo), then pump more, repeat.
1. I am hoping that with cycling I start to grow those extra 1.5 inches and the cylinders straighten out?
2. Currently there is no pain /discomfort associated with the S curve, would I be fine long term using this s-shaped dick?
3. How many months of cycling before I start freaking out I got oversized?
4. I've been keeping my penis tucked upwards since the surgery, should I maybe start letting it hang normally to counteract the curve?
Any info is appreciated, feel free to critique my cycling method!
**My drawing is exaggerated**

I was unable to maintain vertical position while inflated for six weeks after op. Tried but it was too much hassle and discomfort so it did not happen. Keeping vertical all the time could contribute to the s curve you are seeing. There's all kinds of shapes sizes and bends out there. When you start cycling and using it normally, probably you will be able to tell if this was temporary or not. Personally, I don't see an issue with it, but I am not wearing it. There's weird things about mine too, but that's another chapter. Seems like all that swelling has to go somewhere and that might contribute to the s curve at the base. If you showed me a picture without an explanation, I would not have noticed anything off.
