Once IP always IP?
Once IP always IP?
So I’m at 20 months and everything is perfect! But, occasionally think of the fact that one day this thing will fail. I know it could be next week or in 15 years. My question is since I had infrapubic done the first time, would the revision have to be done IP? Looks like it would require an incision on top to remove old one and also on scrotum to go to PS. Just wondering if anybody went from one way to the other with a revision? Or if it’s even be feasible for me to change to PS when I do my revision in the future.
59 years old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong and loving it!

I doubt that you're locked into a certain approach. All the parts are inserted into the same areas with either method. I'm quite certain they can be retrieved by either method. I.e. the dr has a scalpel & knows how to use it.

My doc attempted an IP surgery and nicked my urethra...had to abort and try again 3 months later. At that time he went scrotal (not sure why?)
I dont think you are ever locked in to one or the other.
