Ams 700 reliability
Hey you who have this implant, how many years your implant have been lasted whiteout issues?
fit guy from Europe, back surgery surviver, suffering a bad vl, using shots. Considering to go ipp ams 700 surgery in the future.
Re: Ams 700 reliability
I'm wondering about this too. I see a lot of fast TItan failures here, but the studies I saw a few years ago said failure rates were similar.
Born 6/15/74. I have substantial venous leak with fairly severe hour-glassing, but no hard plaques. My urologist is sexual health expert Dr. Laurence Levine who performed a Doppler Ultrasound and diagnosed me with VL in 2020. I also have mild BPH

I'll be 5 years this month and believe me, we use it nearly every day. It makes being old a little better.

Implanted with LGX 18+5 on 31 Jan 2019. Just passed the four year mark a week ago.
Every medical device should be thus reliable. I suspect I use mine more in a month than some younger guys use their original equipment in a year.

Age 68. Physically fit educated red neck in Texas. Very married. 23 cm (18+5) of LGX installed by Dr. Bryan Kansas 12/31/2019. I fought the ED and my wife & I won. I’m either full of shit or sound advice. You decide which.
Re: Ams 700 reliability
My first AMS LGX lasted 7 years, now 2 years into the second one. Both the first and second gets plenty of use.
I think 7 years is fairly typical, however it would be good to see some data on life span and failure mode

Re: Ams 700 reliability
I'm at two years and no problems at all. One of the Patient Champions that Boston Scientific hooked me up with to ask questions about the implant had his first LGX implant for 15 years, he got installed with the second one about two years ago in 2021. His first one developed a leak I think in the reservoir area.
PM me if you have questions you want to ask.

Re: Ams 700 reliability
I'm not implemented yet, but read a lot about it.
I expect to last between 6 and 8 years. Everything shorter would be a lose and above a win.

Every generation thinks they invented sex. I had the unique experience of having inlaws that came of age in the 1930's in northern Europe. The stories the ladies would tell were nothing short of awesome. Btw, every single one of them was at least 60 when telling these stories. Some were early 70's. The level of candid talk would put most of todays girls to blushing. Also, all this stuff happened before the invention of birth control pills.
