Maybe I had too many glasses of wine one night and I ended up buying an expired (not used) AMS CX 21cm online at a medical surplus website for $100. I was pretty curious especially about how the pump felt and worked compared to my Titan that's currently in my body. Didn't come with a reservoir, I guess that item is packaged separately. I used a glass of water for the reservoir. After pumping it and deflating a few times I really like how the pump works and especially the deflate valve, it is so much more feelable than my titan. Pump also seems to squeak less when inflating. It is also extremely floppy when deflated, which is great compared to my semi-hard deflated Titan. Of course these things could change if it was actually inside a warm body.

Cool
Started with Viagra at age 40. Worked good for about 12 years.
Tried Trimix injections, worked great for about 8 years
Now Trimix no longer works.
I got implant on Oct 26th 2022.

I've said several times. The AMS implants are better than most guys say. Heck they were on the market for a long time before Titans showed up.
Wolfpacker, do this for science. Measure the girth the best that you can. Then hook up a pressure gage. Inflate to around 12-13 psi. I'm very curious as to its final girth at a lower psi. Also, using the same gage & pressure limits. How much in length does it grow? Tia, Gt1956.

A thought from my side when I see the pics is: If we assume the old rule of thumb that two thirds of the implant length is in the penis and one third is in the crus, then the tubing surely connects very far back.
It is easy to assume that for a patient with those typical measurements, the tubing inserts would end up way back up in the crus - which of course doesn't work.
Hence I guess the need appears for RTEs to push the tube connections further to the front on people with a deep crus.
Also, comparing the AMS picture with this Titan picture a few things come to mind.
One is how sharp the base of the fixed part of the cylinders are on the Titan.
Seems odd and a potential cause of pain, even though this seems to not be an issue.
Another is how Titan have a totally different design on the tubing insertions. Sleeker, running along the cylinders.
It basically doesn't divert at an angle until a few cm up on the inflatable part, whereas the AMS tubing is already at a considerable angle already before the end of the fixed part.
Probably this allows the Titan cylinders to be place deeper in the crus and reduces the need for excessive RTE usage.
On the other hand, reliability of the Titan design seems to be lower as we know tubing insertion is the perhaps most common fail reason on Titans.

43 yo, ED forever from VL
Fit and active
Implanted December 2015
Titan XL 24 cm, no RTEs
Dr. Eid
Activated day 13
Sex after 3 weeks
Gained length and girth
So far It works perfectly
Only one advice: Find a world class surgeon

I would be courious to see how nuch the cx expands in girth and, most particularly, length over time. Once the implant in "broken in" and soften up from inflating and deflating. They say it can take a year or so to reach maximum length and girth.

Except the purchased IPP is a CX and not a LGX. And if the doctor needed or wanted they could splice tubbing to move the pump farther away from the cylinders. And this is a preconnected device and they make devices that are not preconnected to permit cutting and splicing for a perfect fit. Preconnected may be wanted with a Titan as they have more failures from the tubing.
Injections failed. Implanted 3-21-18 AMS 700 LGX 21 + 1 RTE 100 cc reservoir 6.5" L 5" G Dr. Kramer.

Please do inflate to max and measure the device. There is published data that shows the amount of expansion at different psi for the Titan and the LGX but In have not seen any on the CX. No pressure gauge is needed just go to max and measure length and diameter. Some question has been brought up if the pressure in table one of this document can be actually obtained. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5654325/ That way we will know what the actual results are using the MS pump and the pressure it can produce. As the CX is advertised to expand in girth like the lgx so we can compare to the LGX numbers in the chart. As the CX is not advertised to expand in length as is the Titan, it would also be helpful to know if the CX does expand a little in length as the Titan does.
