Can A VED Be Used Safely With Implants?

Yes. Back a few years ago when I first came to FrankTalk it seemed to be a general assumption that some size loss was very possible. And when I talked to my urologist after the surgery I said about size gains, exactly, "the research is consistent, it's the people....."

Meaning, mountains of real, reliable and reputable medical research proves losing size is no longer a problem with implants. At that time the general exercise advice many man heard from their doctors was to only cycle for 15 minutes a day. But taking that literally is a mistake because more time plus more VED use is proven to work, and no complications have been reported.

If you use a VED before the procedure you can regain what your size was before years of ED, plus it allows the surgeon to give you an implant size that best meets just how your dick was back when you were a horny 22 year old rather than how it is now. If you use one after the procedure, you can add more length, especially with the AMS 700 LGX. Well thanks, though I'm certainly not that smart in terms of IQ, or even compared to a lot of men here. But working at a university I do have access to more research than most, and more experience searching and far more available time spent reading the results.

To you as a horny 22 year old, I will assume you have not lost any size yet due to ED. I don't know that 100%, because whatever brought you into needing an implant this young maybe did take away a little size. And it's my opinion that the penis, just like every one part of the body, should be exercised to keep it healthy. So even if using a VED isn't absolutely essential for you, I still think you might as well. At your age I'd also assume if you get an implant tomorrow the surgeon will already be capable of installing the size that best meets your goals. Although after the implant your dick will definitely get smaller, and VED use will make it absolutely 100% that you either get all of your size back or even add a little more size, making it worth it.

Your balls being sucked into the VED is abnormal - either get a cylinder that's smaller so that doesn't happen, or look into using sleeves that stop that. In regards to what you said about VEDs being tedious, my first thought is...well, no shit. Putting vacuum suction on your dick is quite certainly something you've never done before. But just like anything else you will eventually get used to it. It scared me at first too, but I kept doing it and now I still use one daily at often max pressure without any problems. Like that last source explained in the thread I linked, VEDs have been around for almost 150 years. You can rest assured that many other men over that time also found them tedious and uncomfortable at first, but they're still around today because they work.

Also, maybe slightly off-topic but I do think it's relevant and important - is my belief that men, in general, are often unreasonably scared of doing absolutely anything to their dicks. Probably because of how important our dicks are in terms of masculinity and all that bullshit, making many incapable and fearful of trying to improve them.

A personal example of something else I do to my dick is after my brain injury I was diagnosed with a neurogenic bladder, and long story but that basically means my brain doesn't communicate well with my bladder, and a urologist installed an Interstim that very much helps. I control it with this:



You can see I currently have it on a pressure of 1.9 on program 4. The nurse practitioner who helps me with this told me that tons of men do not ever increase the pressure or change the program (there's lots of different programs that target different nerves, but the point is tons of men just won't touch it). Why? Because I think it has to do with the penis and it's a sensation and a lot of men are too scared to even try it.

I wish I could reach out to all of them and say, "yes when I change the pressure of my Interstim it's not 100% the absolutely best feeling ever. It can be a little uncomfortable. But who gives a shit, because you know what's worse? Putting up with needing to pee like 20 times a day and being unable to hold your urine. I can deal with a slight amount of temporary discomfort to stop that. And similiary, men who need an implant should learn to deal with a slight amount of discomfort learning to use a VED if the size of their dick is more important than their fear of medically proven devices.

I was just thinking about this. I was implanted with a Titan in Nov 2023. I was already a small guy and now - a bit smaller. Happy to be hard again - but open to doing things to regain some of my old size.

I was Nov 22 Coloplast Titan. I was 1.5-2 inches post prostrate removal for 3 years and after implant I wasn't that impressed however with cycling and using the pump I am now at 6L 6G and still expanding. It took time regarding the growth and I attribute this to cycling.

Are you saying you gained all that length from cycling the implant alone?

No. I'd say I was maybe 4.5 inches post implant surgery and it was so thin. At first I was feeling kind of dejected. Over time it grew from cycling. I added the pump maybe 3 months ago so I'd say yes all due to cycling.
