Midwest guy, pardon the question but did you follow Dr. Clavells pain management protocols? I know he loaded me up with multiple pain killers depending on the severity of the pain and gave very specific instructions.
The most common mistake made is waiting until you are in pain to start taking the pills because then you are playing catch up where you're chasing the pain instead of staying in front of it. This is a lesson I learned during the years of having had an assortment of surgeries (8) to date, 2 of those implants. It's important to stay ahead of the pain by taking your pain meds on a regular schedule.
Also supplement fiber in your diet because sometimes the meds will constipate you. Best of luck to you.

I had a lot of pain also, they did not prescribe enough prescription pain drugs. The entire medical system is spooked from the oxycodone scandal several years ago. So I got no reaction from the nurse and doctor until I told them my pain levels were beyond 10. Then they prescribed more prescription pain meds. I tried ice and for the most part that gave very little relief. The heating pad was better. I could hardly move for 2 weeks. I was taking Tylenol and that did not work at all. I found out later if I had used Motrin it would have been better. But I have type 2 diabetes and was told not to take that. I should have ignored that advice. The pain for me was from inflammation, Tylenol does nothing for inflammation, but Motrin does.
I wound up back at the emergency room because the pain was so bad. While there they determined I was simply not medicated enough. Which was what I was screaming about all along.
We got that corrected and things went better. At about 19 days I was doing better.
So yes you are on a painful journey.
Now 6 months out from being activated I am doing well and enjoying the sex. I will warn you the first deflation is going to hurt like hell. Save an oxycodone pill for that event because it is going to hurt like hell. After that it will not be painful again.
Stay with it and know what waits for you is amazing sex and the knowledge that you can fuck a woman until daylight.
