Hi guys. Unfortunately ive been diagnosed with throat and neck cancer at the base of my tongue and a couple of lymph nodes. I've got to go through 6 weeks radio with 2 lots of chemo, 1 at the start then 3 weeks. It's a very high success rate so i'm not worried about that, but the treatment is hardcore because of where it is. I've had a dentist look at my teeth and take an x ray and all is ok,but apparently this treatment takes it's toll on teeth and jawbone. I've read somewhere if you have an implant you have to take antibiotics if you have dental work and obviously you have to avoid getting any kind of infection while you're on chemo. Has anyone else gone through similar? should i avoid aggressive cycling sex etc ( i probably won't feel like it anyway lol.) Thanks

What I can highly recommend though is CBD oil if you can get it. Was a game changer for me and helped me through the chemotherapy. Best wishes for you mate.

Thanks. I've not long discovered the wonder of CBD oil i hope i can keep using it because they told me to stop all my vits and supplements during treatment, which sucks as i take loads and i'm a bit worried about stopping all of them at the same time, i just assumed CBD oil would be in that bracket too. I still take the peyronies supplements i took before implant IE ubiquinol, acetyl l carnatine vit E, zinc, pycenagol, plus vits b ,d ,zinc, melatonin, ginseng?ginko.arginine , i literally rattle

Hi just bumping this thread incase anyone who's been through chemo/radio with an implant can guide me a bit on whether to cycle etc during treatment to avoid making it sore causing infection etc.
