Malleable implant right rod almost poking through gland

I had a malleable implant inserted April 2023. Less than a year later I go back to see the doctor because my wife and I noticed the rod on the right side feels like it’s about to poke through the gland. Doctor said the only way to fix it was to put another malleable implant in on that side, I could not go to a three-piece due to the fact he was scared scared it might do the same thing has anyone had this type thing happened to them? Please let me know. Thanks guys. I had posted a picture of it. If you are to just look up my name, it might show up.
