AMS LGX 700 pump position

Postby DeadlineDave » Thu Feb 15, 2024 10:05 am

I'm in the very early stages of learning to inflate and deflate my new LGX. As I mentioned in another post, I always imagined it would be completely vertical like the pictures.

Mine seems to be resting on the bottom of my scrotum at the moment, on its side. It worked in the doctor's office.

But now that I'm exploring at home, I wonder if anyone else has the experience of it being different places? Does it move?'

Thanks!

My doctor was known for low placement of the pump. And mine does move around a bit and will also get turned around. But doctors are different and place the pump differently among the other things they do differently.

Be glad it’s low. If I had one (very minor) gripe as I learned to use the implant it was that the pump was too high in my nutsack. I was instructed to gently tug on it and get it lower. It did work.

It acts kind of like a 3rd ball. Right after I ejaculate it is way up high in the scrotum. After a hot shower it’s definitely a low rider. At the four year mark my fingers can feel it and know instinctively how it’s oriented and what to squeeze or which is the button that gets pushed.

From other conversations on here this isn’t strictly a Dr Kansas issue, it’s an infrapubic issue. On the other hand I had five hernias in the five years prior to my implant so hanging my reservoir had me on the edge of my seat. Doing me infrapubically has resulted in exactly zero problems up in the abdominal wall area where I develop hernias and I have my reservoir.

Thanks, Txagq8 and newbie443.

There are more nooks and crannies than I ever imagined. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. I'm trying not to exhaust myself or cause any disturbance in the meantime. I still have some swelling. He said as that continues to subside, it will get easier. He's been right so far.

I think the proximal depth affects where the pump resides. If your deep & the dr uses a pre connected pump. There ususally isn't enough tubing to get the pump down low. Mine lies at a little less than horizontal high on the right. Super easy to find & pump one handed. A preconnected pump has fewer tubing failures because there isn't any spices to fail. But pump position is affected by your crus depth.
