Pump question and cycling

Postby SammyVegas » Mon Feb 26, 2024 11:57 pm

Hello all!

Implanted on 12/26 and I’m cycling and very much enjoying my implant, however I have a couple questions and really don’t want to bother the doc.

I have a titan one touch pump. I can pump up and feel the stretching a bit, and the pump doesn’t see to have anymore without really cranking down on it- so I wait- and then I notice I can get another full pump a few moments later- like it’s not taking anymore and releasing itself. Doc said that it wouldn’t pump anymore once it was to a certain pressure-
My question is - does anyone else experience this AND how do I know when I can’t pump anymore?

And cycling- sometimes I don’t feel much or anything for a stretch- does that mean I’m not doing it enough and need to pump more? Which goes back to the question above. Thank you everyone!
22 CM Titan -
Implanted by Dr. Clavell on 12/26/23
Just under 7” pre-op x 5.5 -
Currently 5.5” x 5
Looking forward to cycling and gaining it back!

That's my situation exactly. Titan, one touch implanted in December also. I get to that point and it begins to feel really full then nothing more. Wait a few minutes, pump pump pump nothing....

My follow up is in March.

Sounds like you have reached full inflation. If you can't pump the bulb anymore and the bulb is rock hard, there is no more place for the fluid to go.

When you start doing the bending exercises and the tubes start to soften up and expand a little more you should get more pumps. This will take several months. Also ask the doctor about using your old VED, that helped me a lot in many ways. Be patient, all will be good. You're going to love this new toy you have.

Same here - no pain at max. Same pre-surgery VED use and same surgeon, too. I've lost at least an inch and have been cycling twice a day hoping to get that loss back. I'm curious - were you a grower or a shower prior to the implant? I wonder if there is a correlation between being a grower (like me) and the length of time it takes to regain the size.

I’ve often had the same question, I was a grower and was over an inch short after implant and it took me 10-11 months to get it back to original size. Took a lot of exercising it and perito exercises but by 13 months I could hit full max and run out of fluid. The Dr used the max amount of fluid recommended for the size cylinders I have so they have now stretched out as much as they are going to. I am totally happy with my size.

SV,
As the proud owner of the Titan One Touch pump, when I inflate and the pump gets hard to pump, I use the two handed, thumb-over-thumb technique. Pump until the bulb of the pump "collapses". Then I'm at the max.
While inflating, stop every 8-10 pumps. Move the shaft up, down, left, and right. Continue pumping.
Hope this helps

p.s. I was not able to pump to the max until about a year, post-op.
