Im coming up on 2 years and it was the best dick decision I’ve ever made! Loving it. If it failed tomorrow I would be getting an appointment ASAP to get a new one. Go with a high volume Dr who is confident and positive about his craft! Like Perito in Florida, Clavel in Houston or Eid in New York. These along with many other high volume implanters have a 1-2% infection rate and most problems with erosion or floppy glands is a surgeons fault for either under sizing or oversized implants. When done properly you should have great results for many years. It takes a few months but when you get sick and tired of failures it’s simply time to take control.

-sex is different feeling
-infection
-erosion (he had come cross the patient how's inflatable implant is pushed through the penis)
-discomfort
-hard to hide when swimming or bathing in public.
But my sex life is bad right now. I use invicorp injections and they work but not always and not perfect anymore.......

Your surgeon isn't confident in his own ability. Go see somebody who installs inflatable implants over 100 times every year. Let him evaluate your fitness for the procedure and be confident in his judgement. He doesn't want an unhappy patient. Accept his advice. Quit overthinking it and proceed. Then move on to the next big issue in your life. You're getting morose.

You may not be happy with the result. You may die in a car accident on the way to the surgery. The far greater hazard is that you allow remote probabilities prevent you from taking low risk, high reward courses of action in your life.

Get this done. Then move on to the next big issue in your life.

This is franktalk. Probably the best repository of real-world, archived experience on the planet….all laid out here for you in this easy to navigate forum.

You mention erosion like it’s a 50/50 proposition. It’s not. I’d encourage you to read back through several YEARS of accounts here. Where is the guy who regrets his decision because of erosion?

That’s right. He’s nowhere to be found. That’s because the risk is minimal. As another poster said above, it’s within the realm of possibility that a piece of skylab might fall on your head. possible, for sure. Probable? Not likely.

Get a better surgeon, i’d say.

He seems to want to dissuade you. “Diminished sexual pleasure?”. How about comparing it to the sexual pleasure you get from a penis that is typically soft and unreliable? If that’s you, is there really any question that you have nothing to lose. that you haven’t already lost?

The good news is that the statistics showing >90% satisfaction are reflected in this forum. Guys with problems? Yes. Guys with issues tend to be more active as they contend with their issues. The vast majority are here for a time as they undergo the entire implant journey, become successful, then blend back into normal life and away from the forum.
Active, athletic 63 years old. Sexually, still 33 in my mind and spirit. Pills and injections all worked, until they didn’t. Diagnosed with veinous leakage in 2022. Coloplast Titan. 22 CM. No RTE. Peno-scrotal. Implanted 1/4/23. Dr. Clavell.

You might want to invest in one of those donut pillows for some comfort. Get you one of the small ice bags. Works better than frozen peas. NOW HERE IS MY ONE AND TRUTHFUL THING. Those pump / inflate / cycle videos are all BULLSHYT. It's not that damn simple or painless. The Pump / inflate / cycle is the worst. Especially, with that AMS 700 PUMP. That damn pump must be made of glass, stone, or hard azz plastic. I think the pump might even be made of wood. I'm at a little over 8 weeks and can't even fondle, touch, or rub that damn pump. The entire process was a good thing, but preparing to use this pup thing, I do have second thoughts.

Big Dog: I guess that was where I was smart. I skipped watching the videos.

And I’ve made some optimistic remarks before. Let me do it again. True story.

I had my LGX installed 12/31/19.

I would never have been mistaken for a porn star due to my dick. Don’t misunderstand me-it was a really good size. Women really liked it. It was big enough to be noticeable but not so big as to hurt or bang into the cervix constantly.

What I had was a set of bull balls. I was the guy in the locker room shower who got referred to as the dude with monster balls. Individually, each was about a grade A large hen’s egg.

Stuff two of those in a standard issue nutsack. Add post surgical swelling and soreness. Toss one of those AMS pumps in there. There’s not much room as it is and the pump decides it wants to ride too high.

Even if your pump feels like it’s made of wood (mine felt like a rock) keep squeezing it. Chances are even the slightest indentation in that pump, even too small to notice, is moving some fluid.

Four years and change in….I still don’t have a really flexible pump. My typical routine is about 35 squeezes where I feel the sides of the pump give way followed by 60 or so squeezes of the rock that I’m convinced are moving fluid and i attribute to my 60 degree angle.

The moral of the story is that different anatomies seem to cause some quirks in the way things work. My only advice is get-r-inflated and get her done.

As far as the original poster. I looked at that paper. The focus seemed to be on the neophallus.

Do you have a neophallus? Can you tell me WTF one is? I don’t know a single man with a neophallus. We all have cocks and dicks. The more upscale among us might have penises.

If I’m not mistaken, a neophallus is something a surgeon has built and attached to a woman who is pretending to be a man. Erosion in something like that has nothing to do with a male getting an implant.

Sure, erosion could be a problem if you were oversized. In Texas it’s called trying to stuff 10 lbs of shit into a 5 lb bag.

My advice: find a doctor who knows what he’s talking about.

I'm noticing posting saying to us a Dr. who does 100 implants a more per year as an experienced implanter. I see the same names posted all the time I'm curious why my Dr. is never posted. Dr. Carrion at USF in Tampa Fl who does over 300 implants a year on average. He is the largest implanter of mallabble implants in the country, including mine. His father was one of the inventors of the IPP implants everyone seems to like in the 70's. He is world famous for difficult revisions and penile repair surgeries. I've just been curious about this.

Thanks to all of you for thoughts....I can't choose the surgeon because it's made from public health care...but I need the implant because my ed is so bad.
Born1984 fit guy from Europe, back surgery and pain medicine caused a bad vl, using shots. All sex with injections at the moment. Considering to go ipp ams 700 surgery in the future...(public health care. I don't know the ams700 model or the surgeon)
