Good to hear Backpacker, our newest Clavellian.

For me, I iced nearly 24/7 for the first few days and I think it really helped. There is so much bandage on it I think it takes awhile for the cold to reach the tissues, so I kept my whole groin on ice for days. I had no bruising and any pain or discomfort I did have was handled by alternating Advil and Tylenol every 3 hours. (they do different things, so alternating is best). I never had to take an Rx pain pill.

Sounds like you're well on your way, congratulations.

My six week follow up was this morning. I had several concerns waking in, particularly some troubling swelling under my penis, a huge scrotum and the pump location.

Dr Clavell put me at ease and I feel well served. I’ve got a way to go but feel confident that he was definitely the right man for the job.

TSA got me! I’m at the Houston airport now and got pulled into a side room/felt up in my underwear. I was pretty forward with them about everything and the TSA guys had some humor. Passed security now but always a fun time with TSA.

Pain wise I’m sore but good otherwise. Just ready to be home and out of the sweatpants. Having my dick pointed down sucks right now.

Huh, I travel quite a bit and have never had a single issue with TSA. Do you have TSA PRE? I do, and they don't ever send me through the scanner telephone booth thing, it's always just the walkthrough metal detector and they have never triggered a hand search. Might be that the phone booth thing doesn't like the density of the bandages or something?

When I got home all I wore was sweatpants for the first week or two, as I wanted to keep it pointed up as much as possible so if scar tissue was forming in my crus it would enhance an upward trajectory when healed. I don't know that it made much difference, I'm at about 2:30 now when fully inflated, just a little better than parallel with the floor, but I wanted to give myself every chance possible.

I also used a baby sock over the head of my penis for about a week, as it was still a little tender and the sock insulated it from chafing and bumping.

I hope you continue to do well, it just gets better and better!
