Massachsetts Surgeons??

Hi guys

Do you know any high volume doctor in Massachusetts. I saw a list in this web site high volume list but in list there were hospitals like Mass General ot Lahey. How can we know / find the doctors with high volume? Is there anyway/list?

Go to the mfg site, coloplast will show the surgeon's that use their product as well some will have a stamp of excellence which must mean uses quite a few of their product. ED cure which is AMS has the same search for the doctors that use their product as well as some have their excellencec stamp. Rigicon has theirs but only do malleable implants here in the USA

Locally, there is dr. Kramer in Cape Cod. Many FT members believe he is a high-volume and are happy with their results. I am not a fan of him, although I was before.
In my opinion, for this type of surgery, and if your insurance covers, you may need to look in other states. Many people fly thousands of miles to get to a surgeon that they believe is the right one. I suggest you create your own list of 3 or 4 of the surgeons based on their competency, positive results, and experience. Reach out to them and get a consultation with the one you feel comfortable with. You don't want to run into issues with such an invasive surgery.
Eid in NY is the best option, I believe, but if you are paying out of pocket, it is expensive, around 30k. Tajkarimi in Virginia is another high-volume surgeon, charges around 26k. Or you can fly a longer distance to Hakky for 20k, Perito, or Clavell. Not sure how much they charge.

To be honest I do not know why but Eid or Clavell I would love to go with. Eid around 32k Clavell 22k. I do not have insurance. Even if I buy from now Do you think will it cover the revision?

Thinking about revisions before having implant would encourage anyone from taking this step. So, just try to focus on your upcoming procedure, select the right surgeon, and enjoy your life. No one knows how the implant will last. It can go for 20 years or might break in a year or so, but implants are made to last for more than 15 years.
If I am paying out of pocket, I would still get a high-volume doctor within the range of 20K. I don't think there a good implant surgeon in the US charging way less than that.

I do not know how you get this impression that I do not have implant yet but I have. 2.5 months post surgery and screwed up by first doc, so…I do not think revision before surgery I know I need

I am a big fan of Dr. Madden Fuentes at Concord Urology. He is just north of Mass up in Concord, NH. Not sure what the cutoff is for a high volume surgeon is but he has done hundreds if not thousands of implants. I was very happy with my surgery with him. He is easy to talk to and will answer all of your questions. He does both Titan and AMS implants and will cover the pros and cons of each. It is a hospital setting so cost prohibitive if you don't have insurance. I had Harvard Pilgrim so I only paid what was left on my deductible for the insurance. They did a great job getting everything cleared with the insurance company as well.
I just really thought the peace of mind from talking to a doctor who actually listened to my questions and answered them was a rare commodity nowadays.
