I had my surgery 5 weeks ago and this is a few of the things that I was not expecting from an implant. Titan 22cm installed after radical prostatectomy 3 years prior.
I thought it was going to be less painful, for me, it was like 10 wasps come down and stung my balls and shaft for 3 weeks straight 4the week it settled.
You can definitely feel the implant if it’s inflated or not, I would say it’s similar to pushing in on an empty water bottle.
Even deflated, realistically it’s hard enough to have sex.
The pump is definitely noticeable in day to day things, I could feel it just driving home from work pushed I to the seat.
The plumbing for the pump is very noticeable where it comes out of the penis and down to the pump.
Everything I do throughout the day is based on how I can manipulate my sick in such a way that it’s comfortable and not noticeable. I figured when it was deflated it would be close to what it was prior to the implant. Not so whatsoever, as I stated above, it’s still fairly rigid.
While I have lost length, I am actually wider then pre implant or prostectomy.
When I woke up and was told they put in 22cm implant, I was expecting 5.5 to 6 in length right out of the gate, not so,,, Basically sitting at 4.5, I know there is a lot left in there to stretch but that’s about where my pain level says no more.
Like others have said, when pumped up, it’s very very very hard.
I have played 1 time so far, but painful. So I have not come full circle to fully enjoy it yet. Definitely should be better times ahead as things stretch back to where they were and settle into the new normal.

5 weeks out, Biggest takeaway
Re: 5 weeks out, Biggest takeaway
I’m sure you’ve also read where it is a journey, and it does require a lot of exercises to get back to where you were or your new max. For me I was so sick and tired of sticking needles in it to get a totally unreliable hard on that I welcomed the physical discomfort knowing it would lead to what I now have! Hang in there as you are really early in the process. Time will heal all. By 5-6 months you’ll feel mostly back to normal but with a definite shower. By 8-10 months it will just be the new you and you don’t think about it every second of every day. I’ve always felt that a lot of issues most people have with worry about their flaccid not being soft enough or easy to hide is more accepting the new you. Think about well endowed people with a shower. They don’t consider their flaccid size being showing or hard to hide because that’s what they grew up with. We as implanted people are thrown into being a very much shower and it takes time to get used to it. By a year you won’t worry about it much and by 1-1/2 to 2 years you rarely even consider it. Sure it’s softer than it was initially but you simply get used to it. Give it time and things will get all stretched out and begin to feel much more normal. Good luck and hang in there!
59 years old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong and loving it!

Don't panic about your size loss.
Remember your body starts to build a protective capsule almost immediately after surgery, plus there is still some residual post surgery swelling so for some it will take longer to recede.
Once you get the go-ahead from your Doctor to start cycling- Do NOT hesitate.
Heads up..... It will not be pleasant at first.
The axiom "no pain, no gain " is more than appropriate in this instance.
I cycled 4x's a day and many times I felt tears welling up in eyes as I pushed through another round of "here we go again"
BUT, 90 days later I found myself exactly the same size and girth as I was pre- surgery.
Absolutely worth the time and effort I put into it.
Best wishes.

Re: 5 weeks out, Biggest takeaway
I definitely keep that in mind as the days go by. Size isn’t a huge issue more of something I had noticed. I hope it comes back but not the end of the world if it doesn’t, still way way better than what I had! More so just takeaways on what I wasn’t expecting during the process and Interested in what others had gone through that wasn’t exactly what they were expecting. Definitely a work in progress but look forward to the day when it’s less stressful!
Re: 5 weeks out, Biggest takeaway
At five weeks I still thought I'd made the biggest mistake of my life. It took about 100 days before I decided I hadn't. I'd had open heart surgery and this was a much more difficult recovery for me.
I'm nearing my five month anniversary and my pump is not noticeable, my flaccid penis has softened and has a much more natural "shower" look. I can still feel the cylinders but any dog ear pain has resolved.
I was very shocked by size at five weeks. I've gone from 4" to 5.5" and still feel the stretch when fully inflated, so I don't think I've maxed yet. (I'd had ED for so long that my 6.5" college size is likely gone forever)
Keep going, keep trying to use it. You'll flip the switch soon.

Re: 5 weeks out, Biggest takeaway
Definitely appreciate the input, lots of things I didn’t think would be a big deal but are. Hiding a 1/2 erect penis on the day to day sucks! It does get better day to day but definitely not in huge leaps, more so small victories. I am moving towards the glad I made it happen but it’s very very small steps along the way. O figured this may help a few get through some of the more difficult times.
