Old blood draining from small incision hole

I had malleable implant done by Dr Carrion and this Tuesday will be 4 weeks

Im very prone to swelling and bruising. One to two days, after surgery I swole up a lot. My whole pelvis was purple and a part of my legs and of course testicle became the size of a ball. My penis had bulges of what seemed fluid, probably blood.

The first 2 weeks, I didn’t drain almost anything, I would see tiny dark red dots here and there, in those 2 weeks my swelling and bruising decreased somewhat. I still noticed I had a small bulge in right side of my shaft.

The incision being stitched and my propensity to bruising did not allow me to drain in the beginning and i think it over collected there

I made the mistake of stretching my foreskin gently for 2 or 3 days to cover the gland better and i think these may opened a scab or a stitch came loose at the top of the incision at base of the penis which kinda makes sense as thats the closest part to the gland

I’ve been draining dark blood for 10 days now. The hole where it drains is small the size of the tip of a pen. The rest of the incision looks healed. It drains slowly where it takes a full day for the old blood to stain almost half the dressing

I went to the ER and they told me is probably old blood, two doctors looked at incision and told there is no infection and is healing well.

Im still taking antibiotics and being very careful cleaning with sterile saline spray and wrapping it every morning.

This old blood has a strong smell that i read old blood can smell stronger due to being oxidized

I dont live in tampa, so sent messages and calls to Carrions office. He said this can happen and just keep it clean, that it will heal. The nurse told me this cannot be stitched as increases risk for infection and just gotta wait for the draining to stop and heal from inside out.

So there is not much I can do about this except keep taking my antibiotics, keep it clean and hope for the best.

I will start using a povidine iodine dry powder spray which helps prevent infection and keep the area more dry in powder form

I still have some small bruises but they are fading and my testicles have reduced in size but still far from back to normal.

So i dont know how long it will for all the old blood to drain completely and finally close that tiny spot

My only concern is infection until it closes

Which something else could be done but it doesn’t seem like just gotta wait out

Had mallabble and redone by carrion .. first one he wanted it wrapped last one nothing but Neosporin in one small spot where it is draining a bit .. My 2nd surgery when they thought I had an infection they cut the whole length of the penis clear down to the testicles .. never wrapped it just put Neosporin on it .. it's only been a month took me a month before they would even take out the 2nd 1/2 of the stiches ..

Just follow your surgeons directions to the letter. If they said to use the providone iodine powder, do so. If they didn’t, check with them. You are right to be concerned about infection. It’s good you are taking it seriously.
