I have a hip replacement and I take antibiotics before dental work for my hip. My surgeon never mentioned it for my ipp.

I cannot imagine a situation where someone would need to wait four months after implant surgery to have dental work done.
Yes, the big concern with an implant is infection. It’s one reason why they bombard you with IV antibiotics during surgery and maybe a short course of oral antibiotics afterwards.
An implant, however, is not a transplant. You’re not going to be on meds that leave you immune compromised.
One part of the puzzle is what kind of dental procedure needs to be done? A checkup is not a filling is not a cleaning is not an extraction is not a root canal is not an implant.
The short answer is to ask your surgeon. If he says 4 months take his advice. I suspect that 3 or 4 weeks after surgery….you tell the implant surgeon you need to go to the dentist, he will tell you to go.
I had 7 teeth extracted with bone grafts then implants starting 2 months after I got my bionic cock. There were no complications.
Without taking antibiotics?

Here’s how it went down:
About a month after my implant I was eating and a big chunk of an old filling plus’s a good sized chunk of tooth #2 fell apart.
I got in to see a dentist. He put in what can be best described as a “big ass filling.” No antibiotics.
Until about 10 days later. Jaw was swollen. Tooth hurt. We were in middle of ice storm. I couldn’t get anyone with that office to return calls. I called a buddy who is an oral/maxillofscial surgeon. He put me on 10 days of amoxicillin. I saw another dentist. He got me in to an endodontist 2 days later and they did a root canal.
The second dentist and the oral maxillofacial surgeon started talking about my dental dilemma and came up with a plan to extract 7, sink titanium rods, then crown with implants. I don’t recall getting any antibiotics after the extractions. I do remember 5 days worth of Tylenol 3.
Bacterial sepsis is not unheard of but a localized tooth infection, assuming you have a good immune system, is unlikely to spread directly to a penile implant.
Again, the best course of action is ask the doctor and/or dentist…preferably both
