24CM Titan implanted 3/20 by Dr. Clavelle. Have a replacement scheduled end of July for an AMS.

The main issue is flaccid. It feels awful to me. It literally feels like I have large fast-food straws crammed in my dick…

I know you’re not asking for comments from those with just Titan experience, but I wanted to share my thoughts since I am only about 30 days ahead of you. Although I have not had as much concern about the appearance, feel, etc., as it seems you may, I have certainly been aware of many of the issues you present. I do think that you should give it more time because of the various improvements I have seen over just the last 30 days or so. I really feel that over the last few weeks my implant is beginning to feel more like just a part of me. I think there are less moments of discomfort, tips feel better, the pump and tubing feel better…

I’m in a long-term relationship so she has been with me through the entire process and she loves my new dick. She’s felt the dog ears and the ways the cylinders feel when deflated, but having also felt and enjoyed the great on demand hard cock, I think she would tell you it’s even better than the original. Pumping it up will easily make it feel better when she’s playing with it. A few pumps don’t remove the dog ears for me, and probably won’t for you, but when a woman is playing with it pump it up to 50-60% and it feels better for both.

I also believe the crinkly feeling is more exaggerated for us than it is for someone else handling our penis. I have asked my partner and she doesn't hear any crinkles or think it feels like I do. We are feeling it with our hands and we are feeling it from the inside.

Feel free to reach out if I can be of any help. I know all of our outcomes are different and the timing is not consistent, but if things are working and you’re not in any pain consider giving it more time. Although an AMS may feel a bit more natural flaccid, many of the same concerns will still be there, and there are a host of new ones that could emerge.
Implanted 2/14/24 at age 50 w/ a 22cm Titan, no RTE's, classic pump by Dr. Clavell after 9+ years of worsening ED. I tried everything from pills to injections. Venous leak confirmed 2/2/24. Healthy, fit and active.

The main issue is flaccid. It feels awful to me. It literally feels like I have large fast-food straws crammed in my dick. They fold like a straw. It feels like a straw when flaccid. I leave it pumped 30-40% just to avoid that, but end up sleeping on my side with a kickstand.

I'm in an new relationship and sex is fine. It works fine when I inflate it, but I don't even want her touching it if it's flaccid. It feels SO unnatural. It crinkles and the dog ears are so bad. Not painful, just awful looking. Wrap some fabric around a straw and then bend it. That's exactly what this is like. Again, when hard I could drive a golf ball down a fairway.

Before my surgery in March I read hundreds of posts on this board. Looking back, I can say that I was definitely romantic about the Titan given the over emphasis on rigidity. I'm sure the AMS gets hard enough for penetration, which is the goal. Today I'll take 70% of the rigidity to feel like my girlfriend could fondle me without it feeling totally unnatural.

I'm sure some are going to say it's going to feel "some" unnatural because it is unnatural. That's true, but it should feel unnatural the same way a breast implant is unnatural. We know its not real, but it looks and feels great. Imagine if a breast implant was only great after being inflated? Imagine if not inflated it was like a bag or doritos inside that breast pocket.

If by some chance anyone on here went from a titan to an AMS, I would LOVE to hear your experience.

The risk doesn’t seem worth the reward to me. Every revision can cause a loss of length and girth because of scar tissue. I have a Titan and, so far, it’s a bit uncomfortable (about 2 months or so) but I’m told that it gets better with time.

That said, was that not disclosed to you beforehand? I doubt it. I wasn’t told either.

generally you will upsize after a few years. it wont be more than .25 inches but its something. especially if you have been cycling properly. the scar tissue has already been created by that point post surgery.

I’d like to know how it works out. I’m just over 2 months post op with a Coloplast Titan and don’t like it.

The dog ears hurt, “krinkle dick” looks and feels horrible. It had a constant unnatural feel. I can’t tolerated pressure against it as it really hurts.

The constant unnatural feeling wears on me and drain my energy.

Speaking with my surgeon yesterday I had a list of questions, a lot learning and concerns from FT, the implant I am getting will be the LGX next Tuesday, he told me that if I wanted something that mimicks the Titan than he would recommend I go with the CX, well I do not want it to get that hard as it bothers my wife and she tells me it doesn't feel natural to her, orally or penetration. And yes the crinkles when flaccid with the dog ears may still be there but not as severe with the LGX, per the surgeon, however he said with the CX it pretty much mimicks the Titan, this is the same as I have read here on FT. My biggest concern has been with infection and that is where he told me that AMS is the winner especially with a revision, that made it a no brainer for me. Everyone is different and there are a lot of Happy guys out there with whatever they got, I was very happy when my Titan worked and am looking forward to try out this new model. Good luck with yours and do what YOU feel is the right choice.

Im almost 18 months with my titan, and it sticks out at 4pm, the dog ear is very prominent and because the device twists to the left (with a strong dog ear on the right), it looks like an erection protruding out of my pants.

Some say to try the perito exercise as they will help soften the cylinders.

I have checked with Dr Hakky and he has advised that it most likely will not get better. I also have issues peeing, as the dog ear can cause the urethra to become bent over time. Dr Hakky also advised this is an issue with prominent kinks in the device.

Your device should get more comfortable once you hit 12-18 months, but the dog ear most likely will not change. It may soften for some, for others, it does not.

You also have to consider that, with AMS, you will have to deal with a larger pump, but also a more oval shape, and less girth. Titan is apparently more round and the cylinders expand more (girthier).

Keen to see what everyone else thinks.

The CX mimics the Titan ONLY in it's ability to get hard. The materials are completely different and act differently when flaccid. Some men focus on the hardness and often say things like "a steel pipe", "baseball bat", "railroad spike", etc. Both the CX and the Titan will get as hard as anyone needs for it to be, and in many (majority?) of cases harder than is comfortable for your partner.

I have a CX, my wife likes it at 80% pumped (20 pumps to max stiffness, she likes 16 pumps = 80%). Hardness is a metric that I believe men weight too heavily when deciding on an implant. That being said, at the longer centimeters, the LGX has been studied and shown that it can lack stiffness that many men are looking for, which is why many high volume implanters will not recommend the LGX for longer penises.

I have never had a crinkle, a dog ear, an auto inflation, an unnatural flaccid or a noisy pump. My CX does NOT mimic a Titan.

Both the AMS cylinders and the Titan cylinders are round. The AMS does not have some funky oval shaped cylinder. Yes, it's true that the Titan cylinders expand a little more, but for most men the implant does not determine your girth, your tunica albuginea determines that. The Titan cylinder expands to about 7 cm in circumference, and the AMS CX expands to 6.5 cm. That's a difference of 1cm with both cylinders side by side.

Actually, the Titan would look more oval than the CX because the cylinders are a little larger. Two of them side by side would look more oval than two smaller ones side by side. I've seen posters on FT mention that after they were implanted with their Titans they referred to their penis as a 'surfboard'. After a few weeks the penis rounds out more, but I think this is due to the larger cylinders side by side right after surgery.

Seems the CX pump is larger than the Titan pump. For me and my stature, the large pump is invisible. For a man with a smaller scrotum, pump size may be a bigger issue to address.

I agree with Jage64. The flaccid state of both CX and LGX is the same, as they are made out of the same material. I have the CX and very happy with its rigidity and flaccid look. You also have the option to not inflate to the max, if your wife does not like it very stiff.
The other thing is CX has a little larger diameter than LGX. Sometimes every mm counts.
If you need 21cm or more, I think CX is better for you, however, I recommend letting your doctor decide about the model.
Good luck with your procedure!

I have had both the LGX and now a CX and they are different even the material is different LGX was a lot softer material completely different feel then my new CX.....LGX had a better flaccid state i would say the CX a lot stiffer but will agree got more girth with the CX i have been happy with both.... kind of glad had the LGX for my first implant i think it did help with a little length keep my length and gained a little girth with the CX not as nice flaccid but always trade offs
