I wanted to come back and give a one year update on my new life with the implant.
This was one of the toughest decisions I’ve ever had to make opting for the implant at 41, but it has turned out so far to be the best.
I was going through a divorce and ED hit hard at the same time. I was in a really dark place for a point in time and this board gave me hope as I had never heard of an implant.
Struggled with ED all my life, but the pills and injections failed me.
This implant has given me a new lease on life to finally be able to relax and enjoy sex.
I’ve met the girl of my dreams and have been in a serious relationship for awhile now and she loves my implant. She calls it her “super dick”.
We have sex anywhere from 10-20 times a week depending on if we don’t have kids.
And I was never a huge sexual person before.
My advice if you are losing hope and depressed. Get in the gym and get in the best physical shape possible and go through the process to where you feel good about your decision to implant.
Once you do that, it gives you the opportunity to meet the right girl that checks all of your boxes.
Although, it’s not perfect. The implant has gotten rid of a dark cloud over my head. I pray for many more good years of use out of this thing.
I wish continued health to all the brothers and wish luck to all considering.

Thank you for sharing your inspirational story and encouraging words. Congratulations on reaching your one-year mark with the implant!
Do you have any advice on safe practices in the gym post-implant? Are lower body exercises such as walking and jogging contraindicated, and are upper body exercises generally preferred for comfort and safety?

Awesome! Believe me, the years just continue to get better. Nothing better than the ability to have sex anytime you want.

Yes, thank you, franklin. I am just 5 1/2 weeks post op and beginning to cycle. Not fun , but I am learning. I am inspired by posts like yours to keep pushing through!
ED worsened over 25 years, likely VL. Went through pills and injections, and results faded over time. Implant AMS 700CX, 21 cm, no RTE, on 6/3/24.

My biggest advice is listen you your body. I didn’t sit much after the surgery. I did a ton of icing the first few days, probably about 15 hours a day.
After that, I went for walks, then after a couple weeks light jogs. If anything felt sore, I’d stop.
As far as the gym goes I waited almost a month and started with very light weight then worked my way up to heavy weights with no restrictions.
I still won’t squat heavy weights to this day. I know they say it’s ok, but it just seems like too much stress on your body in that area.
Why risk it when there are plenty of other leg exercises out there?
Anyways, hope this helps.

Glad I could be of inspiration. The early days where you at are stressful. I didn’t really come in to my own till 6 months. Being a single man using this thing for the first time was really awkward and scary.
But you won’t ever get where you want to go till you get going.
