Hi all
So I saw my consultant this morning and we discussed the pros and cons of the AMS v Coloplast. Decided that I would go for the AMS but my big concern is my estimated size. He reckons on no more than 4 to 4.5 inches which to me is quite a drop from my original 6. I’m very small flaccid wise but my concerns are will my wife be satisfied with what I end up with? I carry a fair girth and the wife reckons it will be fine. Be good to hear from anyone with a similar experience and how things have progressed.
Cheers

Re: AMS implant
When you say originally 6", was that recently? Or back before ED?
Early 30s with ED for years from penis enlargement stretching and jelqing. Implant by Dr Eid on 24 June 2021 with a Titan 24cm with +1cm RTE on one side and -1cm cut off on the other side

Re: AMS implant
I am not sure why your surgeon is saying that you will end up with about4 -4 4.5 inches, while your present length is 6". AMS is a good choice for your size, but just make sure that you have the right surgeon for the job. You may try to get a second opinion. If the surgeon undersize you, there is no way to correct it without a revision that replaces all the implant components.

Wolfpacker has a good question, Whatever you are now should be about what you get back, I just had a revision and got it all back, were you going with the AMS CX or LGX?

Originally 6”, I know I would have lost some post op but seems a lot.
Was told that when using pump that doing this basically ‘oversizes’ so length after pumping is not an accurate guide so maybe the new length is what I should expect

Sorry not sure think it’s the LGX. Not sure what I have now, is either over inflated on the pump or small flaccid

Markt, sounds like you are across the pond in the UK. I was concerned too, with loss of length before I got my implant.
I'm retired United States Air Force and I had my implant done at the largest military hospital in San Antonio, Texas. My docs go to implant was the AMS 700 CX which is supposed to be stiffer and stronger like the Titan implant.
I was supposed to have gotten the CX during surgery but the Doc and the AMS representative made a game time decision and went with the AMS 700 LGX, which does allow some expansion when fully inflated.
I never really measured before I got total ED but I'm pretty sure I was around 6 inches.
While I had total ED for 3 months after having the Rezume procedure for an enlarged benign prostrate, I used a VED several times a day to keep my penis stretched.
You can do a stretch test, where you stretch out your penis to see how far out you can go, but the Doc won't know the internal size of your penis until he does the measurements internally and then uses the closesest size of implant plus rear tip extenders.
I think he went with the LGX with me so that I wouldn't have lost some length.
After 6 weeks when I started cycling the implant I was only about 5 inches, but now that I'm 33 months out from surgery I'm at 5 3/4 inches and probably 6 inches if my glans is full of blood from being aroused.
If I were you, I would get one of those motorized vacuum erection devices that has the measurement on the side to see how much length you can get before the implant. It's just easier with the motorized ones so it's not as much work and on some models you can choose what vacuum setting. You've got to be careful though, you don't want to have too much suction and damage your penis.
Something like this one.

Cheers Sworks, you are correct I am from the UK and good to read your experiences
I’ve been happy with the manual pump which I’ve used regularly since July ‘23. Like I said I was told the size you get when pumping up is not your actual size, that it over inflates . I did have a measure up when I got home and stretched my friend from the glans and got near on 5” which I guess is what I’m gonna get. We shall see
All the best

A few observations Mark:
A vacuum observation will always be more optimistic than a stretch test.
A grower (guy with a small flaccid) will often have an erect cock larger than his stretch test will predict. My stretch was 15.5 cm (I told the doctor to pull harder, he didn’t have it stretched). At that point he told me the reason for doing a stretch test was to give him an idea as to what the AMS Rep should bring to surgery. That it correlated with erect size but didn’t determine it. He ended up installing 23 cm and 17.3 cm is visible erection. The doctor really won’t know until he opens you up. Anything gleaned in terms of size from a stretch test is speculation.
If you’re at 5” (12.5 cm) before then, a year afterwards, with a reasonably competent surgeon, you should be back right at 5” or so close that it doesn’t matter.
Will a 4 incher work when wife is accustomed to 5? Oh yes. 2 1/2 weeks after surgery, my wife - who had become accustomed to a Trimix dick that was 6 7/8 x 6, got her first session with a post surgery 4.7 x 5. Honestly, it was the best and hottest sex we’d had in years.
Your only real issue is do you have faith, trust. & confidence in the surgeon? One that knows his craft is not going to intentionally undersize you unless there are complications (fibrosis, scarring, anomaly in your anatomy - that interferes with cylinder placement). It’s going to be smaller after the procedure, guaranteed. For a while. There will be tissues swelling from the shock of a surgery. That goes away after 3 months or so and reveals more dick. And scar tissue is always a byproduct of a surgery and stretching via repeated cycling of the device conquers that.
The good news, for me it was good anyhow…is that you are not going to be really small flaccid anymore. For years I had a little 3” (cold it was even smaller) softy that turned into almost 7x6 of meat missile. (It was even shaped like a torpedo). While I still get back out past 6 3/4” hard…my flaccid hangs over 5 1/2” long and never gets smaller.

Age 68. Physically fit educated red neck in Texas. Very married. 23 cm (18+5) of LGX installed by Dr. Bryan Kansas 12/31/2019. I fought the ED and my wife & I won. I’m either full of shit or sound advice. You decide which.
