Arrousal and appearance after impant

New member here and I’ve been reading a ton about implants. I have had the symptoms of a veionous leak for a few years now. Up until a five weeks ago I could still have sex “naturally” as long as stimulation was constant and I wasn’t sitting or on my back. The pills don’t work for me. I’ve worked my way up from BiMix to Quadmix. Quadmix works great if I combine it with a constriction ring (Eddy) – Just not sure how long I can continue with the shots.

I have an appointment with Dr Darshan Patel at UCSD in San Diego in October to discuss implant and hopefully an ultrasound to confirm the issue.

How does arousal feel with the implant? While I have problems getting a full erection, when I mash myself up against my wife when we’re just spooning in bed I can feel the swell and chub. I enjoy this non-sex aspect even when nowhere near fully erect. Just wondering how that might change after the implant.

Do the surface veins bulge when inflated and fully aroused? In other words, will I still have the appearance of an angry/veiny meat missile? lol

I’m sure I’ll come up with more questions, but so far I’m amazed at the wealth of info on this site. Thanks in advance

This topic comes up a lot. There are two blood supplies in the penis. One in the cavernosa which gets pretty much destroyed during implant and the other is what engorges the outside and the glans. Glans and other exterior engorgement should be the same after implant as before. It could be affected for a few months due to inflammation and swelling but should return to normal. I continued to use cialis after my implant just so I can get that engorged feeling without pumping. I get a little without cialis but it definitely helps engorgement and also helps my BPH issues. I get quite a chubby even when completely deflated if my wife stimulates me.

If you go through the threads you will see a lot of talk about the appearance of the AMS vs Coloplast. Dr Patel offers and does both, so he will leave ultimately up to you.

In terms of arousal with the implant. A little about my situation. I have a much younger second wife and very active sex life. Started experiencing side effects with the pills and injections weren't my thing. I was wasting a lot of money shockwave through , but it wasn't doing much but burning a hole in my wallet. I was worried about the "artificial erection" or "bionic" penis and loosing the natural ability/aspect of being aroused and getting blood in my penis. But the tradeoff was the frustration of my current erections being unreliable. I was getting still reasonable morning wood and one of the best things was to come behind my wife 1st thing in the morning with an erection, but to discover 30 seconds later as I get her warmed up that it was gone.

Now with the implant, most experienced surgeons don't remove the erectile tissue or aggressively dilate to preserve some function. I would say even after two surgeries and implant, when I'm aroused there is quite a bit of blood going down there, but still need the implant to get to 80-100%. Naturally, I get maybe 40-50% not enough for penetration. Once healed, the implant is more a less of an extension of your body. Now rather that reaching for a pill, etc I can reliably and accurately dial in, how rigid I need to be. One of the best decisions.

Unfortunately, I've burned through my most recent implant, but getting a revision very soon with Dr. Patel! The waiting game until surgery is painful with the wife.

if you check my video in the signature, you'll see how an implanted dick usually looks like, the appearance is quite good if your dick looked good before and the doctor uses an implant that is not too small or two big and the arrousal gets better with time, also your sensation will get better after some time and you'll have a very nice

Anyway, instead of suffering from penile problems and psychological problems just go for an implant, if nothing else really helps.

I think the Peyronie's is what the problem is for me - its well known that causes damage to the cylinders and valves in the pump that need to "hold up" the pressure, especially if you start laying down more plaque. I'm also using for sexual activity sometimes even several times a day esp on the weekend.

Based on others in this forum, it seems the titan might be prone to more issues especially with the pump. I'll be sticking with the Titan (my preference) but switching to the old pump style as per recommendation from the good doctor. There's lots of brothers here with implants >7-10 years which is usually what most will say.

If anything, doctors who tell us it’ll last 10 years, more or less, are managing expectations.

The following data is from an Urology journal “ Long-Term Survival Rates of Inflatable Penile Prostheses: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis “ by Miller Khera Bhattacharyya Patel Nitschelm & Burnett.

What they did: collected multiple surveys on satisfaction of IPP recipients between 1997 & 2014 then proceeded to contact participants on longer term outcomes.

What they found

In the meta-analysis, PP device survival was 93.3% at 1 year, 91.0% at 3 years, 87.2% at 5 years, 76.8% at 10 years, 63.7% at 15 years, and 52.9% at 20 years

What it means: 3/4 guys will have a working implant at the ten year mark. Over half the implant recipients will still be using their implant at 20 years. (or at least it’s still working if they’re not using it lol. (Depends on who they’re married to)

There are lots of variables and no two cases are identical. Still, it’s tough to argue real numbers collected from multiple surveys which gives you a large and statistically significant picture.

That being said, thus data was from the AMS CX/CXR series. The LGX may turn out to be similar. Or it may wear out a bit quicker due to its ability to lengthen in addition to getting girthier. We will see.

My dad got implanted in the 1975. those were the early years of implants 1990 it was still working when he passed.

Maybe that’s what I need to do…put my affairs in order and leave final instructions.

Visitation at the funeral home, open casket, me pumped to 100+% in a Speedo, and do not cover me up in one of those blankets.

I’m not John Holmes or Jonah Falcon (by any stretch of imagination) but wouldn’t it be funny if they had trouble getting the lid closed?
