Hi Guys, I am new to this forum, I posted a while back on the new member page..... I had my 2nd revision on my penile implant (AMS700) 3 operations including the first. It's been 5 weeks since the last surgery and Doc said I am ready to go. In the office when he pumped it, it looked rather smaller than it used to be (God if I can remember that!) but no pain, no crimps, and thankfully no infection. That is what I went through with all the revisions. OK, time to cut to the chase and ask you guys with implants if you ever experienced these reactions the first time.
1. I had some pain pumping it up. Will that subside? Am I pumping it up too much?
2. Will I see some "growth" as time goes by?
3. My wife said it felt weird, no pulsating, kind of like having a dildo inside her, but she is not complaining, great understanding wife I have. Will she get used to it after a while?
4 Due to the discomfort I was having (moving around, hurting when my wife goes down on me) will that subside?
5. It is hard as a rock, so I am not complaining there......
Please guys, whatever you can share with me I would appreciate.
Looking forward to having a sex life again!

After 2nd Implant Revision.....
Re: After 2nd Implant Revision.....
Everything will get better, just need time. Pump it to the max for at least an hour twice a day and you should gain size. Try to give it a couple more pumps after a while. No pain no gain. Try pumping in a warm bath. Works wonders.

Thank you. I thought I would get a few more replys than yours. I still have questions, this site is not very helpful at all. However I do appreciate at least one person taking the time to answer me.

Re: After 2nd Implant Revision.....
Gary,
I was reading your post and then I looked up your previous posts. Unfortunately I also am going to have my surgery redone also, so I know how that sucks. Did the same surgeon do both surgeries? Also, did your uro not tell you to expect pain for a time when pumping? Or what to expect in the way of growth, with the AMS?
When researching getting an implant I read through franktalk and only joined recently. It seems like it's not nearly as active as it was. Maybe activity on this group comes in waves?

Re: After 2nd Implant Revision.....
Gary,
I am sorry I didn't respond to your original concerns. I found this site and the information I got from members very helpful, especially after surgery. I had my original surgery on July 9, 2013 and then developed an infection and had the original unit removed and replaced with a new implant three weeks later on August 6, 2013. Can't tell much about the pain from the first surgery since I was also dealing with an infection but the pain was easily controlled by prescription meds for a week after the second surgery. I remember having some pain especially in the scrotum where the pump is which lasted for about 4 weeks. I, too, found it more comfortable placing a small towel under my scrotum when I sat and even put a curved "neck" pillow under my scrotum to keep my scrotum from falling between my legs while I slept. After about 1-1/2 months, the pain was almost unnoticeable except when I bumped my groin area or leaned against something. Just keep in mind that everyone heals at different speeds and please try to stay positive. The reward of being completely healed and being able to have sex again is unbelievable.
Bob
Note: my surgery incision was peno-scrotal, horizontal at the top of my scrotum about 3 mm wide. I can't even see where the incision was anymore.
