Born 6/15/74. I have substantial venous leak with fairly severe hour-glassing, but no hard plaques. My urologist is sexual health expert Dr. Laurence Levine who performed a Doppler Ultrasound and diagnosed me with VL in 2020. I also have mild BPH

I’m a 57 year old gay man in Michigan, single for the last 7 years after a 22 year relationship. Still look good enough to date (okay… hook up with).
I’ve been dealing with ED for at least 10 years. I tried tadalafil and didn’t care for its side effects. I started using sildenafil, which also has side effects, but I find them more tolerable. I take 50mg and might get a relatively short-lived erection in the right circumstances—on a good day.
In October 2022 I started having painful erections (if I could get one). During one particular sexual encounter, I happened to look down and was horrified to see an upward bend in my dick, about two-thirds of the way up from the base. Later, I discovered a lump in the same spot. It was about the size and texture of a pencil eraser. After the doctor confirmed it wasn’t my imagination, I got a urology referral and was diagnosed with Peyronie’s.
I made an appointment for my first round of Xiaflex, but got cold feet and bailed on that.
To be honest, I didn’t even want to masturbate any more (when I could get hard) because I couldn’t stand touching the bend in my shaft. So I reconsidered and resolved to start the Xiaflex treatments.
While a needle in your dick isn’t the most fun you can have with your pants down, the pencil eraser lump disappeared after the very first injection, so I was hopeful. After the eighth and final injection, the Xiaflex had only reduced the angle by maybe 10 degrees. It was time to start considering an implant.
My foremost thought was that the implant is so permanent. There’s no going back after getting one. But then, what would I be going back to? A limp-noodle bent dick that only gets semi-hard for a minute or so if I’m lucky?
I made an appointment with the surgeon, and had an initial exam, followed by a doppler/sonogram of my penis to determine erection ability and blood flow. After 2 vasoactive injections, I was only able to achieve 40% rigidity. The doppler showed blood was flowing in, but not staying. We discussed my options, and I settled on grafting for the Peyronie’s and the AMS 700 CX implant.
Now the surgery is less than two weeks out (6/27). Some days I’m more nervous and anxious than others, but feel I’ve made the right decision.
My biggest concern now is something completely out of my hands: length. With appearance being a close second. Not gonna lie, I have/had a nice cock (many others have confirmed this). Not girthy, but pushing 8” when super aroused. Now, without the bend, it’s maybe 7” and ends about an inch south of my bellybutton. I have no idea what to expect post-surgery. I’ve seen quite a few nice dicks here, so am hopeful. I dread being disappointed and ending up regretting this decision.
Anyway, that’s my story so far. You may be thinking, “That’s a lot of damn words from someone who doesn’t like writing.” But I didn’t say I couldn’t write… just that I don’t like doing it.
(The two photos are from 2020 and 2023.)
Please forgive me for the length of my story. I want to share my experience with Peyronies and ED..
Peyronies disease is a shock. I developed it, in 2001, as a pain like a bee sting on the left side of my cock that developed into a gross-looking 90 degree curve to the left. Before this, men & women had commented on my nice cock, originally 7 1/2"long, and near 7 3/4" when super turned-on. In the time frame of a month mine had become a much shorter, ugly-looking mess. It left me feeling disgusted and somewhat hopeless. I quit having any sex, sure didn't want anyone to see my horrible curve.
This was before Xiaflex treatment was available, so the Urologist injected a medicine that I don't even remember the name of. Once we finished with a series of 10 injections it was obvious that it wasn't going to work. I was referred to Dr. Reed in Miami, Fl.
Dr. Reed examined my cock, performed a doppler/sonogram, and after vasoactive injection he was confident I could obtain a first-class erection after the plaque was excised. He suggested surgery to excise the plaque, like a sliced loaf of bread, and then apply a patch of cadaver heart tissue over the plaque so my cock wouldn't leak blood through the excised plaque. After surgery, I was given Viagra to obtain erections immediately to aid in length recovery & for the best possible straightness. The good thing was I now had a straight erection, but I was only 6" long and my thickness, above the plaque damaged area, was a bit thinner.
After the Peyronies surgery, I had very good erections for 10+ years and then they became softer-and-softer, progressing to be too soft for penetration by 2023. I had my implant surgery on May 17th, 2024 and the length is still 6", but my cock has an oval shape instead of the good-looking shape of before. It feels normal and I'm happy to have a hard cock to have sex with. I have been told by my Urologist that there is a procedure of injecting Hyaluronic Acid into the penis that would help with the oval shape and give me more thickness. I don't know if I want to have anymore surgical procedures performed, so I believe I'll stay with what I have after the implant and enjoy my current hard-ons.
Re: I'll start a journal
62 days after grafting and implant surgery.
Things are looking (mostly) good. I'm able to pump up and have sex. I've had orgasms and cum 4 times to date, although reaching climax is difficult. I know healing takes time, but it's incredibly frustrating.
I'm also experiencing random bruising on my sac. I had bruising on the sides near the base of my shaft for a while. The current bruise corresponds to nothing. It isn't where I squeeze the bulb, so I have no idea what's causing this. If it persists, I'll ask my surgeon at my next follow-up.

Hey Kamp! You and your cock look amazing!!! Have you had any "human" trials? If so, what did you try? How did that go? Curious....... I assume the head of your cock does not get pumped up.... how does it feel in front of your hard shaft? When you jerk off does it feel like it used to when it got hard?

So many questions! (It's OK. I had many questions myself.)
I have been with a few guys since being cleared for sex. I got sucked by a number of them, and I've topped once. No one seems to notice a difference, or at least no one has said anything... and most spent some time down in my balls. Everyone seems to enjoy it. (Could be they don't care as long as my dick is hard.) It is incredible to be able to fuck someone when we're both down for that!
My spongiosum and head do not get engorged. Some say theirs do, some don't, so I don't know what to expect over time. I'm only ~90 days into a 6–12 month journey. It currently takes me about an hour (and a lot of lube, concentration, and effort) to reach orgasm/ejaculation. I still get a bit sore from the stretching and rubbing of the tissue surrounding the cylinders. My new boner feels very different in my hand, so I'm having to get used to that. I do like being able to grip it and feel the hardness now though. Very much — that feels great!

That is AMAZING!!! I am so happy for you! And you are right...who care how, or why...as long as you have a hard cock..IT'S PARTY TIME!!!
Re: I'll start a journal
Seems to have gone really well, happy for you!!
Did you figure out where the latest bruise is from? Also, I might have missed it but who is your Dr?
Yeah as long as there’re no issues with tubing/pump placement/tips in glans and such, the oval shape wouldn’t bother me either. It’s true some penises are just oval.
