Titan Kink Question

Guys,

This is my first post on this forum. I'm 55 yrs old, married and have been suffering from various degrees of ED for the last 10 years due to pudendal nerve injury. Currently doing bimix injections with 0.42 units 2 or 3 times a week which work well but is inconsistent & very inconvenient. This forum has been tremendously helpful. I have read through so many posts that has given a me a wealth of information.

I need a few pieces of advice. I'm currently considering a Titan with classic genesis pump. My flaccid size is 4 inches relaxed length (No George Costanza effect) and 3.75 inches circumference/girth. With bimix injections my erect size is 5.75 inches and 5 inches circumference/girth. I'm concerned about accordion kinks which I heard is a lot more pronounced in a Titan. Wanted to hear your thoughts if you guys think for my anatomy if you think this would be a big problem.

Also I would appreciate if someone can put me in touch with indusvalley. I have PM'ed him. Wanted to discuss with him since his size very closely mates mine.

I have the titan, with classic pump.
Only time I notice dog ears or kink is when I am deflated most of the way.
I normally keep it about 30 % inflated, and have no problem then

Agree - if you keep a few pumps in the implant the "dog ear" is not noticeable. I think it really only is issue if you are worried about the cosmetic appearance. If you keep the dog ear when flaccid - it just looks funny when you look in the mirror or in locker room. If you keep few pumps, you have somewhat of a bulge that may need better concealment. I've honestly stopped wearing boxers and switched to boxer briefs. But its almost a non-issue.

After over two years with titan and classic pump I rarely even think about it while flaccid. First few months was an issue. The dog ears hurt at times, but so did everything else down there! lol. After 5-6 months it’s really not an issue and by 10-12 months it’s just a normal part of your anatomy. There’s an adjustment period with any and all implants. Titan is one of the best as is AMS products. When I got mine I was totally sold on titan but after a few years I think now when I eventually get a revision I’ll go with whatever Dr clavel suggest I get. I have a 6” plus girth at base and 6” mid shaft which actually is more than I had previous so titan is definitely a positive in girth but from all the reading I do on FT seems the AMS would be the way to go if your main concern is a comfortable easier to conceal flaccid. Can’t go wrong with either and the main thing is get a qualified Dr!

I am on my second Titan Classic and haven’t had any issues regarding kinks.

I am on my fourth Titan. The dog ears were somewhat of a problem on my first, poorly installed implant. Not a problem since. I do stay mostly deflated when not "in use". My first implant wanted to go down and uncomfortable to the left when flaccid. I now wear jockey's a size small to keep me dressed up and to the right.

Thanks for all the answers. Very helpful. Wracking my brains over the right implant (AMS vs Coloplast). I know this has been discussed so many times in the board but here I'm going through the same decision making process . My reasons for choosing the the titan:

1. My penis has a slight downwards bend (not peyronie's) and I would like to have a post implant straighter penis. Titan gets the edge here
2. I would like to avoid rear tip extenders which I have heard can cause less stability after talking with a few implant recipients especially since I probably won't have a very deep curra given I'm a thin person. Since the Titan comes in 2cm increments, it gives me a better chance to avoid extenders.
3. With the thinner diameter cylinders of the AMS (18mm vs 22mm), I have also been told that the penis can look a lot more oval with the AMS especially the urethra can get nestled in between the cylinders
4. The cylinders are a lot more durable than AMS
5. The pump is quite a bit smaller

My main concerns about the Titan:

1. Whether the titan will be too big for my corpora width. My erect size from pubic bone to the tip of the engorged glans with bimix is 6 inches. My girth near the tip is 4.5 inches and girth near the base is 5 inches. The tip of my glans from one side to the other runs just a tad bit above 1 inch.
2. Whether in the flaccid state the kink will cause continuous physical pain. Reading the answers in this post seems like over time this is a non-issue.
3. Have heard that the Coloplast tubing is not as sturdy especially the one touch pump with its pronounced bend. So maybe more prone to breakage and needing revision.

@ LMCatman, Could you please share why you ended up needing four revisions? I have heard that people go for 10-15 yrs without breakage in many cases.

By the way I'll probably get my surgery done by Dr. Clavell. I have had mutiple discussions with him. He seems very competent and is very open towards addressing all sorts of questions I have. I have also spoken to Dr. Eid and he is great but seems to me is getting a bit too old. I also have a consult set up with Dr. Hakky on Sept 24th just to get a third opinion.

From what I’ve read and seeing you have a 5” girth, either of the implants will fill your girth up. I have a little over 6” at base and 6” mid shaft girth and it’s actually a bit larger than it was pre implant. either brand would give you all the girth you could need. Might consider letting your Surgeon make his best opinion known and maybe go with that. I personally don’t want to lose any girth and if Dr told me I can get all I have back with a AMS or Titan it wouldn’t matter to me. Whatever fits my anatomy best in his opinion would work fine with me.

My titan max inflation, stowage inflation, and max deflated. I tend to keep a few pumps for stowage to smooth out kink on right side.
