Dog ears hurt

Postby JHealth » Sun Sep 15, 2024 5:57 pm

I am 19 days post surgery and it was a bit of a rough go.
Still a little pain associated with the incision but the biggest pains come from the dog ears and partial inflation.
Are there any tricks to getting around this?
I don't go back to Dr. for two weeks.
Thanks,
JK

Ice, baby sock and a pillow between my legs at night is what i used. I would use frozen peas for 5 min or so on any area giving me trouble. Once you deflate things will get better, hang in there.

Sorry but the best thing that's going to help is time. Things will soften after a while and fall into place.
Like others said, use ice, a baby sock to cover your shaft (cut off the elastic part), and if your incision is fully healed my best two things were Aspercream and hot baths. A small dab of Aspercream smeared along your shaft will ease the soreness for a few hours. Wash it off before sex. Soaking in a hot bath every morning helped ease my soreness the first few months.
If you've watched a video of this surgery you'll understand why you are so sore.

Try alternate between ice and heat. I know heat really felt good to me.

Day 21, still dealing with dog ears pain and pain in suture area.
Ice calms it down nicely bur once I get up and start activity it seems gravity brings pressure and it starts hurting again.
I am noticing that each day seems just a little better but it certainly is moving forward at a snails pace.

I have a CX. Early on I felt/found a dog ear on my right side. It hurt like hell the first time I touched it. Now, I can still find it & no pain at all. So in my experience the dog ears will calm down. I did best with a hot pad between my legs at night for the first month. Also give Ibuprofin a try. I strongly suggest that you keep your penis as straight as possible. That way the dog ear shouldn't point out. In times past on FT it was advised to keep your penis pointing up for the first month or two. This was intended to help get you an erection that pointed up more. I think it helps on the dog ears also. While my erection angle isn't as up as I'd like. My dr says its about as high as they get. I blame my deep crus for my lower angle.
