I was still 60-70% inflated till about three or four weeks so did not have any problems with dog ears. I also tried to avoid forcing it up or down in pants as much as I could while inflated at that level. After about 4 weeks (I believe) I was able to start deflating and some light cycling. It was nice to be able to deflate to go out but then the dog ears were bothersome when wearing tighter pants and I appreciated getting home, taking my pants off and being able to inflate to ease the dog ears. Inflating several times a day and varying the position of my penis helped me. I’d also try move it around so it was going down my pants leg while driving to take the pressure off the dog ears. Not really an issue anymore.

So in my experience the dog ears will calm down. I did best with a hot pad between my legs at night for the first month. Also give Ibuprofin a try. I strongly suggest that you keep your penis as straight as possible. That way the dog ear shouldn't point out. In times past on FT it was advised to keep your penis pointing up for the first month or two. This was intended to help get you an erection that pointed up more. I think it helps on the dog ears also. While my erection angle isn't as up as I'd like. My dr says its about as high as they get. I blame my deep crus for my lower angle.

Penis straight out doesn't work well in public.LOL
I have used ice and heat, both help as long as applied but soon after the pain returns.
I'm am very active so this sitting around nursing the situation is difficult (at best) for me.
I typically go to the gym every morning, then home, do a Bible study with prayer time, breakfast, shower and off to work. My patience has worn thin but I am hanging in there in anticipation of a positive result.
Thank you and others for support.
