5.5 day update with the above penis surgery meathod

It’s been 5 days 11 hrs. since my surgery. My update is “so far so good”. My doctor left me about 60% inflated and have to tell you, I’ve never had an erection last 5 plus days… LOL harder that I thought it would be, pun intended. 60% turns out to be a rather nice erection. Looking forward to seeing what 100% looks like.

I’ve experienced some swelling and a little bit of bruising neither worth making a big deal about it. Both the swelling and the bruising have been very minimal. Certainly not anywhere near to the pictures other posted of themselves. A tiny bit of discoloration of the penis here and there. The bruising is about the size of a US $.25 cent piece about mid penis in the right-bottom side minimal like I said. Most of the swelling happened at the base of the penis near where the incision was made (just below). Is not bad. Does not hurt but it feels a little puffy. The scrotum, normal, but it pealed a layer of skin when I was first allowed to bathe/shower. At least I think it was skin, it may have been something the doctor applied to seal it to prevent infection. I plan to ask him about it when I see him next Wednesday. Pain wise, there hasn’t been any, I’ve experienced some discomfort but most in the way of soreness… I was reasonably sore last Thursday, the rest of the time less soreness… today. I’m not even sore. I’ve taken a total of three pain pills during this recovery period; mostly to help me sleep at night since I’m not used to having a hard on when going to sleep and/or not doing something to get rid of it. Overall, I think this is going to work out just fine for me. So far, I’m happy with the results.

Next Tuesday I get to fly back to San Jose for a post-op appointment with the doctor. The plan is that he will show me how to deflate/inflate the prosthesis and send me home where I will be expected to exercise the prosthesis two or three times a day for another week.

Congrats on your low drama low trauma procedure, its really encouraging to hear reports such as yours when anticipating ones own surgery. From what I've read on this procedure the pubic approach does seem to have some serious advantages over the scrotal method. To your continued minimally uncomfortable recuperation, peace...
