Getting anxious

Postby crash220 » Sun Mar 09, 2014 9:04 am

With only two days until my surgery,, I am getting extremely anxious. Unfortunately surgery is nothing new, two shoulders, knee, foot, but this is different. Did anyone else feel like this?

Thanks,
Tom

This is not unusal I felt the same way. it was not any where near as bad as I thought it would be. My pain at the worst was a 5 on a scale of 10. Good luck! Lets us know how it comes out and if you want to talk I am here and many others.

Anxious and scared for me. 5:30 AM hospital call Tuesday with scheduled 7 AM surgery. I have had few surgeries in 68 years, but have had a few hours dealing with kidney stone this summer. TURP surgery in 2008 did not deal much pain other than that very brief moment when catheter was removed. Got some changes (ha) coming as I prefer the shower over tub and I like to move around in sleep rather than stay on back. Hope and pray it will all be worth while.....I just tell myself I have little to loose. If my wife and I can make it through me being home so much in healing, then things might get better.

I was nervous too. It was my first and only surgery. You'll be fine.

You'll be fine, just let the doctors do what they are best at and think about the whole new life you're going to have.

Wow, what anxiety. Less than 20 hours (7 AM 3/11). My brother will carry me to Dassas later this afternoon to hotel. In the morning TEBozo from FrankTalk will transport me to Zale-Lipshy Hospital. Thanks to so many for personal e-mails and PMs....so much guidance, advice, etc here on this forum.

Good luck Crash.
