Drs who do self pay and costs

Postby JohnHC » Sat Oct 05, 2024 6:49 pm

Those who have had or done self pay, which Dr did you use and how much did he charge? Was it all inclusive or were there extra charges involved? Just needing some input.

I was self pay through Dr. Clavell. I could have paid nothing more than a $200 copay and had my local Kaiser doc do it, but after consulting with him I wouldn't have done it through Kaiser if it was free. I was happy to pay Dr. Clavell 100x more to get the outcome I have and am thrilled with. This is not a surgery you shop price on, but from what I can tell, Dr. Clavell offers the very best value if you're a self pay.

Feb of 2023 I think it was about $22k all inclusive, except for travel and hotel costs.
