Hey guys, just need a bit of hope here.
Long story short, though a freak accident and the worst luck of all time, I have damaged my penis. Right now, my cavernosa can engorge to various degrees with varying success, but the head of my penis and the spongiosum on the underside of my penis only minimally engorge (and don’t stay engorged well). I tried putting a condom on my erection last week, and while the cavernosa is “fine”, my spongiosum and head basically get squished as if they were flaccid. I’ve talked to doctors about it and heard everything from basically being called stupid to saying “medical science has only come so far”.
Now for my question. I’ve heard that sometimes getting implanted can cause “soft glans syndrome”. While I doubt many have my symptoms without an implant, I thought maybe some implanted people might. My question for the guys with implants that have a head that won’t engorge properly and still have sex, how is it? Has your partner ever made comments? Do they still seem to enjoy giving head and having sex? Do you are you still enjoying sex? Is there anyone out there that’s implanted with a weak spongiosum that can share their experiences?
I’m honestly just in a horrific place mentally right now and I’m worried that I’m basically unfixably broken in a way that’s going to massively turn partners off. I do plan on implanting in the future (I’m not satisfied with pills and don’t want to inject) and any feedback or advice you can give about sex with a hard dick but soft spongiosum and gland would be appreciated. I’m praying that eventually medical tech allows us to fix damaged penises more permanently since the implant won’t address all my issues, but we’re just not there yet

Red fill out your signature, its hard to advise anyone without some basic knowledge of where you are at. There are topical prescriptions that may help.

Most Drs and people will say if you had engorgement before you will have it after. I lost a little immediately after surgery but it came back. If you’re using a good Dr he should be able to steer away from the nerves that trigger this and it’s a whole separate blood supply that causes engorgement. I still use cialis on sex days and it helps some with engorgement.

Cock ring and pills might be your best bet, implants only help the shaft. I would assume with a hard shaft your glands might follow suit depending on your excitement level and the severity of your blood flow issue. But without your glands filling with blood the tips of your implant might hurt during sex, mine did for the first few weeks back into sex and i have good blood flow to the glands.
Sorry to hear about your struggles, goto a high volume doc, they might be able to help with sizing to avoid the pain but your in a hard spot from my experience.

I’ve tried cock ring + pills before, it seems to work *okay* but not to the degree I’d like. Putting on a condom at that point still basically squishes the spongio and glans, but that’s also the only way I can maintain a penetration capable erection at this point with a condom on.
Yeah… my cavernosa is not in great shape, but my spongiosum and gland are pretty screwed. A hard erection still leaves me with like a flacid to a wavering 3/10 glans, and the spongiosum is worse.
Thanks for the well wishes, I’m tentatively thinking about Dr. Hakky next year-ish once I have the money, assuming insurance doesn’t try to ruin my life even more. And yeah, it’s bad. Being in this condition is one thing, being in this condition and being told that not only is medical science not advanced enough to fix it but it’s not even advanced enough to properly diagnose is actual Hell. My hope is that even if my glans and spongiosum are broken until medical science advances, maybe an implant will let me have the kind of spontaneous, frequent sex I want again with a body that can (god willing) satisfy both myself and my potential partners, even despite my physical flaws
My hope with this thread was to find someone with an implant and soft glans that could share their experiences, but that doesn’t seem to be working out. Win some you lose some I guess

You ever try trt with hcg? Hcg is important on trt in my opinion. Cortex labs on YouTube if you need info.

Not yet, no. My t is too high for insurance to cover it and going to a clinic to get it puts it out of what I can afford, especially with hcg as well. That’s not a step I’m ready to take yet to be honest, even more so since it only has a chance of improving symptoms. Once I get implanted that may change, but right now I’m just trying to save the thousands I need and praying I’m not too late to salvage an average size

Re: Sex w/ implant + soft spongio and glans?
I've had soft glans since I can remember, but it definitely has tapered with age and stress to the tissues. In my 20s I could masturbate/fuck without help, though I dabbled with pills because they made it more reliable. I always had some sporadic ED.
I have read one or two places that the implants can serve to trap blood in the CS as well, meaning that you can gain glans function after surgery... not ready to try it, but here's to hoping. In any case, I haven't seen any reason a moderately inflated implant with a light constricting band should not produce a nearly identical form to a natural, 100% erection.

soft glans since ever / some ED from youth now fairly serious ED after much use of constriction/clamping to achieve 100% fullness / sorting out TRT and delaying implant plans until all mental, chemical, and physiological possibilities are exhausted
