Pump Problems
Pump Problems
I had my AMS 700 implanted on December 19th 2013. The pump is very hard to even compress, and when it does even a little bit, it stays compressed for hours. Has anyone else had this happen, and might the pump be defective? I have to push on the pump so hard, I get sore down there for a couple days. Thanks...

Re: Pump Problems
The first time when you sqeeze the pump do it kind of fast if you can, if it stays depressed then hit the deflate button the pump bulb should fill up again. when you sqeeze the pump dont hold it there. if you need to talk PM me and I will give you my phone number and we can talk I communicate better that way,,, good luck to you I am sure everthing will be fine take care. Re: Pump Problems
Thanks Nathan, I tried and tried, but same result. I'm so sore, I'm gonna have to give it a few days rest I think. But, it is nice getting such a quick reply from someone, and knowing I'm not alone. Thanks again.

Re: Pump Problems
drc936,
When the pump bulb stays in a compressed mode ... most likely you need to reset via the deflate button. Hold the button in while squeezing the penis shaft. Then try again ... you should feel the check valve "pop", then you know it's in the pumping mode.
If you find it difficult to squeeze the pump ball ... try the two-handed method:

Re: Pump Problems
My doc says my AMS700 bulb is unusually stiff. But it is not as hard to pump as you describe. I suggest you have your doc check it and observe how you are pumping. The docs are there to help and in my experience they are very willing to help.

Re: Pump Problems
Thanks to everyone for your help. As a new guy to this, I'm just having problems, and the more I try the more frustrated I get. It has got to have something to do with "resetting" that valve, I just can't get the hang of it yet. I can hardly wait to see my doctor in a few weeks. I'm approaching the 12 week mark, and just need to learn how to do this. I think at this point it's as much about self confidence, as it is about the physical aspect of all this. Thanks again to everyone out there.

Re: Pump Problems
Thanks to all for your feedback. i went to my doctor yesterday, and he recreated the same problem I did. He said there might be a little air bubble or the valve just might be finicky. He was able to cycle the implant a couple times, and got the valve to go "pop". Since I've gotten home yesterday, I've been able to completely cycle my new addition 8 times, with little problem. The only thing I notice is some soreness in the shaft, and just below my glans. I'm also about 1 inch shorter, but 1 inch wider than before surgery. Can I expect to gain back a little of my length, and I assume the soreness will subside. And, in the little hard to ask category. Should I worry about damaging anything if I go for a test drive by myself ? Thanks again guys. I told my doctor about FrankTalk, and he thought it was a very good thing.
Re: Pump Problems
Pump it up to the max twice daily for at least an hour and try to add in a couple more pumps after a few minutes. You should be able to gain size. Pumping in a warm bath or using a sock full of warm beans or rice works well to help with pain. Go ahead and test drive while you're pumping. Helps with the pain as well
