Hi, IndusValley. Do you know if Dr. Hakky is open to installing AMS implants, or if that’s something he's not as involved with? I know he’s frequently associated with and favors Coloplast products, so I was curious about his comfort level with AMS implants.

Hey! I didn't receive your PM. Regarding your questions, I was expecting the Titan to fail after 10 years, not in 4 years. So that's why I mentioned moving to LGX out of frustration because wilsonmill above went from Titan to LGX and is happy. I also haven't come across as many complains on this forum with LGX or CX over here compared with Titan. Maybe I am wrong?

If my Coloplast is under warranty, then I would stick with that since I pay out of pocket, and replacement will be free. I asked Dr. Hakky, and he said, "Yes, if there is a defect, it is covered under warranty." So, I will likely stay with Coloplast. I think moving to AMS would mean paying out of pocket again, which I do not want to do right now. I am confused what to do, so talking to him next week would clear my mind.

Yes, it's definitely a leakage according to Dr Hakky but I am not sure if it is due to the pump or reservoir. Dr Hakky said their sonographer will do the scan and find out where the issue is. Regarding which pump I have, I have the Titan Touch implant. Now I am not sure which pump was used but I will ask him next week when I visit him.

I believe you have the one touch pump. The OTR has just a single button in the middle that you press to deflate compared to the classic genesis pump which has two buttons at the edge. When I visited Dr. Hakky he told me he prefers the one touch pump because he thinks the the pump tubing base where it connects to the pump is a stronger connection and will last longer. Looks like in your case the tubing broke after just 4 years. Both Clavell and Eid prefers the Classis Genesis pump. Eid specifically states that the one touch pump is known to have tubing failure and now exclusively uses the classic genesis pump.

I'm concerned about the titan fitting within my glans. My glans width from side to side is about an inch. When the Titan is fully inflated, theoretically the two cylinder tips would sit 23mm=2.3cm=0.9inches from each other. I wonder whether that will cause the tips to be too much to the edge of the glans. Following picture depicts what I'm talking about:

Would appreciate if you can provide any insight. Here are some of my other pics. Do you think Titan would be a good fit for me?

Dr. Hakky does install AMS CX/LGX based on my visit to him. But he definitely prefers the Titan. He is on the Coloplast center of excellence list but not on AMS center of excellence list. He receives most of his research funding from Coloplast. Hope that helps.

Do you know where I can access this list of AMS center of excellence, and whether it applies to countries other than the US? I cannot find anything for France.
30 years old French with ED caused by priapism episodes at the age of 15. Pills have lost most of their potency, injections work but are painful and not a long-term solution. Scheduled for an AMS 700 CX on 05/12/2024.

I just had an implant and the tips literally do not go into my glans at all, unfortunately. I was told by the doctor that this is just my anatomy. But the whole placement looks weird and floppy to me.
Implanted October 11, 2024, Dr Karaman. Infla10 AX 20cm +1cm RTE.

ED about 14 years. Pills worked for 12 years, later worked 50%. Tried almost everything, nothing worked: Shockwave-Testosterone-PRP-Stem Cells-Botox, Etc

You'll see a center of excellence seal for some doctors when you search using the link. Unfortunately it's only for US doctors.

Hope you can get warranty on you titan. From what I understand it would have to be a failure in the products themselves. If it was say a bad connection then it would be basically blamed on the Dr but if a tube or cylinder actually leaked then hopefully would be warranted. When I got mine 2-1/2 years ago the one touch was getting a bad name for failure. I was given the classic because of this .
59 years old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong and loving it!

You look like someone who has a good dick and I think Coloplast would work well for you. I checked and my pump is Touch. Easy to inflate and deflate. Honestly, I think you're probably overthinking but I love your research. The best answer to this question would be to email Dr. Hakky and ask him directly. He would likely respond back to you in 24 hours.

I just had an appointment with Hakky and honestly, it went great. They did a sonogram and found the leakage in the tube connecting to the reservoir. He said the issue is not the implant or pump but the tubing. He said it looked like a slow leak. This means that the tubing connected to the reservoir somehow caused the problem. The good news is that my Coloplast is under warranty. He said since everything looked good - the implant, pump, and reservoir - just the tubing gave the issue, he would likely replace the whole thing again and keep the same model.
A young guy in his early 30s from South Asia. Implanted Titan 22cm by Dr. Tariq Hakky in Atlanta (Dec 2020). Amazing doctor! No pain during recovery. My size is 5.75” x 4.6” which is better than pre-OP size of 5.6” x 4.5”. Hoping to gain more in future.

Hello, Just went through the same process. Problem was slow leak from titan touch. Surgeon said one of the tubes from the cylinder entering the pump was broken off. Noted that he's had a few patients which similar case, so he's switched back to recommending the classic pump for those wanting Coloplast. Mentioned a few interesting things about titan touch 1) the triangle orientation that the 3 tubes enter the pump is more prone to twisting force with normal use 2) that tubing is not made in house by Coloplast so may be some quality control issues.

I just had my pump switched rather than having the whole thing replaced (which was offered, but I wanted a faster recovery). So far so good and back to using implant within 1 week (although was told to wait 2 weeks).
62 year old, ED+PD, Coloplast Titan 22 cm no RTE in 2019 with Dr. Irwin Goldstein => failure, now with plaque excision/tunical expansion to Coloplast Titan 26 no RTE in 2022 by Dr. Darshan Patel, now with classic pump 2024 :D
