I was correct- he did use a suture to anchor the pump in the scrotum. There is still swelling/edema around this area (the hot spot), but he is not concerned. This should subside soon. I still have to keep massaging around the pump and try to pull it down so it doesn't recede.

Cycling- he said to start slow and cycle as much as I could tolerate the discomfort- work up to daily and then 2x. Also keep changing your direction of which way it points deflated so you don't build up scarring or plaque. I said I'm following the clock every couple hours.

Wait until the 6-8 wk mark to employ it depending on any pain/discomfort. This puts me on my goal of by Xmas or NYE.

I stated how much I underestimated this procedure was going to hurt. He hears that a lot. I can hear all the post-op guys reading this and thinking "what did you expect, dumbass?"

Some doctors ask the patient to point it upwards, interesting yours asked to keep changing it. How does changing prevent scarring?

The TEN pump is working. I get about a 10-20 pumps for a 3 o'clock sundial. I pump up to discomfort, wait 5 min, add in a couple more, then repeat.
Since I'm still sore, squeezing the pump is difficult. I have loose skin on the shaft since I'm not maxing it yet. The deflate button is easy to find and press.
Btw, the Perito exercises hurt like hell...

Hey man, now that you've started cycling, can you update me on that question I asked earlier? Is the pump quiet or noisy? Anyway wish you a fast recovery, congratulation

Nuance- your body is building a surgical capsule around the foreign objects. You don't want to leave it pointing in 1 direction all day and develop a bend/curve.
Thisworld- I don't hear anything, but I also need hearing aids.
wilson- that's what I thought; TY

I have to admit that when I found out I was implanted with the Tenacio version and saw the "keyring" model I wondered if the designer who put all those big ridges had ever owned a scrotum or had one of these pineapples implanted to appreciate how it might feel....

I also admit to a chuckle when I went to my three week post op appointment with Dr Kansas to run through the cycling homework. Having someone else rummage around for the deflate valve and mashing your penis down to empty it seemed bizarrely detached )

My pump is "upside down " but I'm told that doesn't really matter....having a third testicle is still somewhat amusing...

You are saying that the Tenacio pump is bulky, in terms of feeling and looks?

Is the pump very evident from the outside?

Day 35- the pain & discomfort are subsiding. The hot spot has settled down, but the skin is still tender after working the pump. I can feel the pump get hard right about when the cylinder tips are expanding into the glans and causing discomfort. I can add a couple micro pumps from there. I know this will settle down and expand over time.

So I'm just short of my 6 week milestone, but I decided to test drive it. I didnt want to disappoint my wife on the first try. I only pumped to 75%. All the nerves are still partially numb, but I was able to rub one. It wasn't mind blowing, but the fact I had success was!

So all this time I've been second guessing my decision about an IPP. That's definitely gone and I'm looking forward to really driving this puppy home. And so is the wife.

2.5 mo post op:
Just got back from a wonderful vacation. There was some discomfort from the IPP from being crammed in my pants for an 11 hr flight each way and no way to release the monster. Deflating to the max before the flight helped. I also had to be careful in the pools and hot tubs- I didn't want to show off with a bunch of families around.

We got it on almost everyday. We even tried for a round 2 one day, but I wasn't able to finish- the nerves weren't cooperating on that try, but I had too much bourbon anyway. My nerves are still recovering, so sometimes it took A LOT of work getting to the finish line... even though my wife was done 2 days ago.

In short, the LGX and Tenacio work just fine. Pumping and releasing was easy even though my scrotum was still sore near the hot spot. I would pump at least 2x/day lounging in our hotel room, plus let the little guy out for playtime. I usually pumped just enough for foreplay, then add a couple more for penetration. I still get a little discomfort when the tips are pushing into the glans.

The pain and discomfort really subsided after the 8 wk mark. I now only get pain when I pump it up hard, but everyone says that will go away. I'm looking fwd to my full recovery and wished I had done this a year earlier.

Motorheadrulz wrote:So after 4 yrs of failing all the usual methods of pills, pumps, and injections, I've decided to go robocock. I'm scheduled for the AMS and have requested the Tenacio pump.
At my consult in July I expressed this, and sent a reminder so they could order it (they acknowledged my request). Most drs rely on an AMS rep to deliver the equipment on the day of surgery- so hopefully the rep has what I want in stock. And before you ask, he only installs AMS so there was no other choice; but after researching and working with the same uro for 10+ yrs, I was happy with the choice.

I've been pumping 2x/day and taking 5mg cialis since the consult. I plan to keep on the cialis after surgery to help healing. I don't really care about trying to get a horse cock with the implant, but would like to at least regain the ~2" I've lost since the RPP in 2020.

I offered my wife a choice between an AMS or a Corvette, and she chose the implant. I didn't expect that...

I'm not looking forward to the surgery, but no pain = no gain. I'm concerned about decreased sensitivity due to further nerve damage, but hopefully that will correct itself over time. I'm still numb along my left side since the RPP.

There is not a lot of useful info on here about the new pump and dudes who have it, so hopefully I can help in the journey. I'll check back with a book report. For those considering this journey- read, read, and read. All the info is available if you take the time to research it.

The TENACIO pump is not guaranteed for over 1000 cycles. That's according to Boston Scientific's press release, which I've attached.
