Would you get an implant to stop continual size loss?

The final frontier. Deciding when, if and how.

I do have fibrosis in the tunica, not inside the cavernosum tho. Think ive lost around 10-15% of my original dick volume and its just a bummer to keep on using it and damaging it so that when its damaged enough, then ill get an implant. Just feels intuitively bad.

Honestly with Clavell doing my implant which would mean 0.5% chance of infection and probably the same odds to get undersized, i would actually take that risk.

I am concerned about how my fibrosis would behave if i had an implant. Based on all ive seen i think it would stop shrinking my dick, even tho the actual fibrosis process probably would continue.

The thought of being able to cycle and actually expand these stupid scars from within is so satisfying.

If i would act now, i would still have a good sized dick for the rest of my life. But no i have to wait for it to be deformed… i understand both perspectives and i go back and forth between them. For now ill distract myself and try to meet a girl that doesnt have huge penetration needs.

Im seeing some mild changes in my erection quality, its a bit wobbly sometimes and its harder to get rock hard for some reason.

With all due respect to ED sufferers, im actually cheering this ED on. I might actually be the first person in history to wish ED on himself.

Since Im 99% sure this thing will lead to ED at some point anyway, id rather it be sooner so i can get an implant while my dick is still decently sized. thats how warped my perspective is now..

Im probably gonna look back at these sentences and regret them deeply but who knows, maybe ill have an implant in a year and be super happy.
31 YO,

Diffuse tunica fibrosis from stretching/jelqing.
Several small circumferential fibrosises. Sex and masturbation makes it worse.

SwedishDave,

It sounds like you've pretty much made up your mind already.

Yes, the implant gives a nice erection, but please understand that it's not an infallible device and that it comes with its own set of considerations.
40. Implanted July 5, 2024, by Dr. Andrew Kramer, Urology Associates of Cape Cod. AMS LGX, 21cm cylinders + 2cm RTEs. Idiopathic "hard flaccid" ED following bacterial infection. Tried pulse waves, Cialis, TRT, even spinal injections. Nada.

I do know that the implant is not perfect. Buy i also have hope for the future. I think that in 20 years the implants are going to be much more durable.

Even if ive made up my mind, it doesnt matter because clavell wont touch me today. If my erections keep getting worse then maybe but so far they’re still working.

Ill just have to distract myself and work with what ive got in the meantime. Thinking about having kids but when i get very depressed about my dick im thinking hell no im bringing kids to the world if their dad is depressed. I went through that myself and will not pass it on. So this thing is affecting that aspect of my life aswell.

Its incredible to see many people here had ed for 10-30 years before implanting. By that metric i understand the 98% satisfaction rate.

If i were to get an implant today, with my erections still working. I wonder if i would be dissatisfied since most people with implants barely remember what a natural spontaneous erection feels like and is therefore ecstatic when they have never ending boners all of a sudden.

Do you guys recon i would be dissatisfied with that aspect of the implant? Less blood flow, no spontaneous erections, no feelings of arousal etc. Or is it more the fact that implant surgery is risky and it can fail etc that is the main culprit?

Parmenides wrote:Do you have fibrosis? It's not clear to me if you have a diagnosis. Fibrosis is a serious problem, even at the time of implanting the prosthesis. Peyronies, fibrosis... are an added difficulty. Taking the step to the implant is serious because it is a one-way road. A prosthesis will never be better than natural erections. It is a good solution for those who really have a problem, but always being realistic. At 31 I got my third prosthesis after a first incorrect implant, a second one that became infected... and do you know what my concern was? Well, not being able to have a romantic life, spending the rest of my life alone... Nowadays I can see that in a very short time I will go for the fourth implant and I am terrified. Go to a good doctor, follow a treatment, exhaust all possibilities and if everything fails, then discuss the implant issue with the doctor.

I haven’t seen very many here who’ve had it for as long as you have. If there’s one -ve about the implant other than lack of natural engourgement, what would you say it is? Did you notice progressive atrophy of your penile tissue or has it stayed the same? Did you lose any size cause of infection from 2nd surgery? Did they go straight to a 3rd IPP after the infected device was removed?

Are you taking cialis? How much?
Give it a chance to PT-141 / PT -141 + sildenafil. Not that bad, it helps with sensitivity.
Have you ever checked your blood?

tomas1 wrote:Yes and this is for his own personal liability honestly. The impact is an irreversible surgery meant as the treatment for ED that has failed all other less invasive treatments. It has not really been clinically investigated for "shrinking penis", although seems very similar to Peyronie's which many implanters will recommend the implant for

That's what makes this such a tough call.
It does seem to have a similar effect as Peyronies.
A consult with a very good urologist could help a lot.[/quote]

I have seen the top peyronies urologist in sweden and 2 others that told me to go to him. He confirmed it was fibrosis. He said stop all dick exercise, dont use too big movements during intercourse and just be glad its not crooked.

There is no stopping this mechanism, its only gonna progress.

They say enjoy it while you have it, but im in fact not enjoying seeing my dick atrophy. I feel depressed after sex, not happy.

Me, desperate as i am latch on to all the people saying implants are GREAT. But it seems to be that they are GREAT for a person that suffers from ED, not objectively great or worth getting to stop penile atrophy.
