wow....lmcatman....one of my mentors here on franktalk....sorry about this failure...knowing about your way of living, I think it is just an example of "catman, he just uses the shit out of those implants" congrats.... I guess
great to hear that you are still in the saddle brother !
Fuck....broke another one....

(63 yo, Titan 22cm implant Feb 2017 by Dr Eid) I'm super pleased with my length/girth/implant performance. See my story at "The road to becoming a bionic male: Answers ..."

The longest one you had lasted four years. Hey man, God bless you for having that many revisions, but I personally would've gotten a malleable LONG ago. These things just DO NOT LAST as long as advertised. Period.
40. Implanted July 5, 2024, by Dr. Andrew Kramer, Urology Associates of Cape Cod. AMS LGX, 21cm cylinders + 2cm RTEs. Idiopathic "hard flaccid" ED following bacterial infection. Tried pulse waves, Cialis, TRT, even spinal injections. Nada.

Exactly. He didn't break anything.

I'm very sorry to hear that. I'm pretty sure the reasons for these failures are due to tubing breakages. Manufacturers are joking us—they should focus on improving the tubing, especially for Titan implants. These prostheses are deliberately not designed to last, and manufacturers are complete pieces of shit.
Top surgeons should refuse to implant these prostheses until the manufacturers improve the tubing. If they did, the manufacturers would fix the issue in a matter of days, no doubt.
I'm currently on my fourth IPP, and I'm only 36 years old. I've had my current Titan for just over a year. If it doesn't last at least 8–10 years, I'll definitely switch to a malleable implant.
32yo, VL from birth. Implanted in 2020 with AMS CX by Gabriele Antonini. Pump stopped working after three months, replaced with new pump that stopped working again. Complete revision Titan Touch 24+1 implanted by Dr.Eid. Titan failed in October 2023.

I don't know if today's Rigicon Infla10 has higher durability. We could argue that they did great for a 1st gen design. They have some ex-AMS engineers in their team. Let's see how they pan out in the future.
They studied 319 patients (upto 3 years) in their initial study and this is the conclusion.
Conclusions:
The vast majority of the early Rigicon Infla10 IPPs implanted prior to January 2022 were included in this retrospective analysis of volunteered PIFs. These early results demonstrate initial durability from reoperation equivalent to that of other contemporary devices.

That's my impression. And I think the shape and spaces of certain anatomies may be more problematic than others.
I'm scared to death of revisions. I was scheduled for an AMS CX for a long time and pulled out. The Genesis malleable is far from perfect, but it seems to be the most conservative option of all implants
Born 6/15/74. I have substantial venous leak with fairly severe hour-glassing, but no hard plaques. My urologist is sexual health expert Dr. Laurence Levine who performed a Doppler Ultrasound and diagnosed me with VL in 2020. Surgery scheduled 5/19/25

it's like the dog chasing its tail, it is especially better for implantologists to keep quiet, if the operation as well as the device were also under warranty, then they would make things that are wrong improve in the blink of an eye, it's a tacit agreement, the implantologists say that it lasts 10/15 years, and the producers at most lose a piece of silicone with a pump, and the implantologists pocket the biggest chunk due to revisions, things must continue to go forward thus, it is convenient for everyone, in fact they have reduced the guarantees in many countries from 10 to 5 years, if a manufacturer drops the guarantee from 10 to 5 it means that it has established over the years that 5/6/7 years can be achieved, beyond i 10 they are a very small part
56, DE since 2010, the pills worked at high doses not well, on 01/23/23 titan one touch 22, Dr. Gabriele Antonini, Replacement from titan to cx 21 with ms pump on 04/03/2025, today I am almost 60 years old and have various pathologies, testosterone

I listened to a panel of high volume surgeons discussing complex revisions and these two sentences really freaked me out:
"Abort the procedure, let the patient heal, and come back to fight another day..."
"Do an antiseptic washout, close the incisions, let the corpora fibrose (one dude was laughing while saying this), and fight back after 3-6 months..."
The guys discussed these scenarios treating it somewhat like routine car maintenance. They have become desensitized from dealing with hundreds of cases. Meanwhile, some patients slip into a state of depression, fixating on potential losses in length and girth during the recovery period.
Nonetheless, I admire those who face this ordeal multiple times with a positive attitude!

It's funny; I'm noticing more and more people on this board, mostly younger guys, getting implanted with malleables--it's almost like a malleable revolution. I said it in an earlier post, but I don't think the tech for the IPP is quite there yet, and the future of penile implants will simply be what originally was: the malleable.
The other interesting thing is that this uptick began really only last year. Beyond that, it was almost impossible to find anyone with a malleable, barring a few exceptions. LMCatman's experience now only makes me want to swap more than ever. I don't want to have to deal with riding out a break or any other complication--not to mention the increase in traumatic infection rates with every subsequent revision. No thanks. I'd rather deal with a 24 hour hard on.
