Good luck, brother. Which malleable are you getting? Did Dr. Perito have an opinion on the different brands? I'll probably go that route too when my Titan quits, which is hopefully a long way off (knock on wood) but you never know.

I think the quotes saying the lifespan of the IPP being 15+ years is due to most patients being older or those who don't have the opportunity to use it as much. For someone like me who's using it sometimes twice a day, or about 20+ times a week on average, 4-5 years without issue seems like it would be more accurate.

Good luck, brother. Which malleable are you getting? Did Dr. Perito have an opinion on the different brands? I'll probably go that route too when my Titan quits, which is hopefully a long way off (knock on wood) but you never know.

I bet Dr. Perito will recommend none other than Coloplast. The biggest implanter of malleables in the US is Dr. Carrion, and Rigicon is now his go-to brand for it.

I was just wondering if it would be possible to leave the reservoir in place and cap off the tube in case the malleable doesn't work out and the IPP would want to be installed.
