BH47,

Also; if you don't mind me asking, with the 21+1, where you were at length wise before the procedure.
As I am thinking the CX would be best for me as well; at 6.5, I may end up (so to speak) with a 21.

Thanks

My stretch measurement from tip to pubic bone pushed in was just shy of 6 inch. I think the surgery note mentions when they did the artificial test at the beginning of the surgery my erection measured 15.25 cm which seems about right based on my at home measurements. The internal measurements were proximal measurement was 7 cm and 15 cm distal assuming that's how they came up with 22 cm total implant.

Overall the day of surgery was very smooth, he had let me know in the morning that we may start 30 minutes later than anticipated since the first surgery of the day was a little more involved. dr. Patel was cool and reassuring prior to the surgery and made be feel very hopeful. Surgery took about 1 hour based on the notes. I was implanted with AMS CX 21 + 1 cm on both sides.

This morning was rough - getting woken up by nurses, IV's for the antibiotics, foley being removed which was terrifying. The doc that saw me in the morning, wasn't very detailed, just said things looked good and then she was gone. Didn't see the surgeon this morning.

Got a call from the surgeon around 10 am and spent 20 minutes talking to me about the surgery, what he found. Sounds like it was pretty textbook and he opted for the CX implant, which I'm now glad about. Said he usually is at another hospital on thursday so unable to come in to see me, but the trainee doctors are his eyes/ears and believes in on the course for speedy recovery.

Looking down below there is some puffiness around the up and down incision on the scrotum, but not too swollen or bruised at all. Much less than I was expected. No drain was placed at surgery. Was able to pee this morning and it didn't feel great - ton of spraying. I do have some partial hard-on which the doctor said he left implant 30% inflated.

I feel somewhat excited after my conversation with the doctor, but also a little anxious - seriously I just got a bionic penis installed.

I'm trying to ice like crazy, but my mind is just running like crazy.

Hey bud - I just sent you a private message. Hang in there!

Saw the doctor on Monday, about 10 days from surgery and was cleared to start cycling the implant. I was able to figure it out but certainly struggling. Seems on par with others experience. Trying to use hot pack before, I mess around or just in a hot shower makes it the easiest to find the pump and squeeze, without causing to much tenderness. It feels like the pump is just so hard.

I opted for the old AMS pump rather than the new one Tenacio since I didn't want to mess around with something that just been on the market for one year and reading on this forum about others experiences. Didn't seem like it was as good as advertised, but now thinking may have been a good option.

Does the pump loosen up any with time? Right now, my forearm cramping up getting it fully inflated.

Yes, don't worry it will loosen up with time. I'm just about 9 weeks out and its MUCH better than it was at week 6.

Congratulations :!: :!: :!: Ballhog, welcome to the Bionic Brotherhood, after you heal up you will be thankfully that you took the step to get your sexual life back. :D

I used gel ice packs that you normally wrap around your knees for swelling, for me they worked well because I could cover my scortum and my dick at the same time. I would put a face towel over my scrotum and dick to protect the skin from getting too cold and I would sit in my living room recliner with my legs elevated.

I was supposed to have gotten the CX, but my doc and the Boston Scientific rep made a game time decision and gave me the LGX.

You've just started your journey, so do hesitate to reach out with any questions and your FrankTalk brothers will try to help with what they know and have experienced.

Welcome,
SWorks

At our age I don't think it's a big deal. The only worries I can see is the need for future surgeries and potential infections, or in the case of semi-rigids there's worry about pressure atrophy.

I would be willing to bet more than a quarter of men over 50 would greatly benefit from a penile implant
