Same as Journeyman, Dr. Clavell performed my surgery and as far as I know I was wheeled into the OR with a gown on and I woke up in the recovery suite with my wife at my side and a new dick.

I don't believe I was intubated, I had no throat discomfort whatsoever. He doesn't use a catheter, so I peed in the receptacle and was out of the hospital in about 2 hours.

Dr. Clavell used a pelvic nerve block of some kind, I had zero pain and was on a 5 hour flight home within 40 hours of my surgery. I alternated Tylenol and Advil every 3 hours for a day or two for discomfort, not pain, after the block wore off, I never touched the prescription painkillers. Surgery on Wednesday, flight on Friday, back in my home office working on Monday.

Dr Clavell did my surgery and he was great. I remember getting on the table and then lights out. I thought I just had IV sedation, and neither the doctor nor the anesthesiologist told me I would be intubated, but when I received the surgery notes, I HAD been intubated. I was surprised to say the least and would think someone would have told me that was going to happen, but no.

As far as pain, mine was horrendous for weeks, but I think many guys get by with very little pain. I just drew the short straw on that aspect. It was really terrible, but now a year later, I LOVE my dick more than I can say. Just hoping it lasts for a few years.

Hmm interesting. So he does intubate. Good to know that you're loving it. Why are you hoping for just a few more years. Are you taking it to the tracks? :D

By the way did you maintain your pre-surgery length?
55 years. Using bimix 0.4 units. Works well but inconsistent and very inconvenient. Seriously considering an implant. 6.4 inches bone pressed length to tip, 5 inches girth base, 4.5 inches girth mid-shaft.

LOL, yes! Definitely taking it to the tracks! I lost about .75 inches and some girth.

My surgery with Dr Clavell was TODAY.

He uses general anesthesia with intubation. He has you pee before surgery, he doesn't place a catheter during surgery. No drains either. Penoscrotal Incision.

Every surgeon I talked to uses general anesthesia. I think spinal anesthesia is an outlier. He sticks a needle in to your groin or spinal canal, next to your spinal cord. That sounds pretty risky to me.

But go with whichever surgeon resonates best with you. The high volume surgeons call the shots.
