All the best to you. I was implanted on December 13th 2013, and had a bit of a rough recovery due to other health issues. ( Blood thinners due to heart condition ) Don't get discouraged. my recovery has been baby steps, but I'm now getting back into life, and enjoying not worrying about my ED anymore. Enjoy your wife and son. I found laying on my side, with a pillow just slightly between my legs helps tons. I'm glad you found Frank Talk. This has been a big help to me. Good Luck and take it easy. The bath will feel great.. Good advice on the stool softeners. I took advantage of those, and they really helped. I also spent a few nights sleeping in my recliner, about halfway back, until the swelling started to go down. And when I sat in my living room chair, I had a pillow on my lap just in case one of my dogs decided it was a good time to try and jump up on me. maybe an idea with your 3 year old, but I bet he understands. I agree that there was also a huge emotional component in this for me also. The further you get, the better your psyche' will become, I know mine is. We made the right decision. Take Care

Hi guys, Well I'm 1 week post surgery and seeing and feeling improvements. Last days or so the swelling has gone down a bit and the pain is easing up. Urination is almost back to normal. Still constipated which sucks. Lost over 10 lbs which is good, LOL (I was on a diet all year and was doing very well so I'll take it). Haven't tried a bath yet, still having trouble sitting upright. I think I'm going to give that a shot tonight. Been staying in bed mostly, but moving around the house more. Wife just burned something on the stove and called for help and I was able to make it down the stairs quickly and didn't feel any pain. My son understands that "dada's belly has a boo-boo" and he gives me gentle hugs and kisses my belly. Also been doing the pillow on the privates for doggie jumping defense. Overall I'd say today is the first day I really feel progress. Thanks everyone.

Hi all, Feeling much better, virtually pain free. I have an odd, somewhat embarrassing question. Lately I've been feeling pretty "excited" mentally so to speak. Found myself watching porn the other night. Is this normal? Is it just because I'm excited to get going? Anyone else have this?

n,
Assume you have some inflation, I believe this causes a little extra state of "horny". I feel that in the inflation exercise much of the time also. Erection can just do that, now watching pron may be 'adding insult to injury" as they say. ha.

Hope you continue to do well. The "journey" is a challenge for weeks, actually months. You will get thru the healing of post surgery, feeling so relieved when you are confident that you have past the possible injection point, then the full activation takes place and (at least in my case) there is a period of easing out of the aches and discomfort of the inflating/deflating process. i am two weeks post-activation and seems each exercise becomes somewhat easier. Sure, after full activation and the doctor's "go-ahead" you can have intercourse, but it is not a cake walk. Good, you understand, and part of what you have been waiting for, but all is not complete for a while. I have found possibly more discomfort from I/D process than my surgery healing (although it went exceptionally well), however, it is all tolerable and just takes time.

Take it easy.
