t,
Do you inflate to a point of aching in glans? When I do that even if leaving only a few minutes (period of time inflated did not seem that important to my surgeon) I usually get a aching/burning after deflating. This discomfort could possibly be more related to the squeezing process of deflating rather than inflation. I have really been trying to see that I have times of FULL deflation so may be overdoing the squeeze. Perhaps much to do with the amount of cylinder below, but I have about decided that no matter how much I squeeze the shaft, I am going to have fluid "drift" into shaft afterwards. Thus the hard squeeze may be having a bruising affect. I squeezed quite a bit this morning before work and I ached for several hours. Heck, it was worse than most any part of my post-op recovery. I am trying to be realistic that this inflate/deflate exercise will all get easier with time, but the question of IF I am deflated enough and dealing with some discomfort is a little unexpected.

But dern doesn't IT look good all inflated? ha

To minimize the self-inflation after forcing the fluid out of the shaft, you can give the pump one quick squeeze to lock it into the pumping position ( you will feel the 'pop' ) and then don't pump any more. That will keep any fluid being transferred from the reservoir into the shaft on it's own.
Try and see if that works.

I pump until I cannot pump any more. I am never sure that I get it fully deflated. It stays relatively stiff. But, my Dr. tells me this is normal especially early on. How long post surgery are you?

t,
Eight weeks today. one week in I/D exercises. i started seeing girth improvement within a couple of days of exercises. i think techs suggestion makes good sense. I will try that. It will also give peace of mind that the pump will work the next time I use it. I have had a couple times in the last week that bulb seemed stuck like pirate.

Yes I would pump at least twice a day. For 15 minutes and every 3 or 4 minutes squeeze thepump bulb a few more times and hold for a few minutes. Twice daily for maximum results.

Interesting about squeezing again after a few minutes. I do this as I have found even though pump felt tight, after 10-15 minutes holding, I could get a few more pumps. Plenty of time for use and firmness, but it is as though there was slight leak/drift of fluid. b

I too squeeze after 10 min or so and get a couple more squeezes.
