I am largely satisfied with the entire process. That said, I think asking better questions would provide insight to potential improvements.
1) What do you wish you knew prior to the implant?
I wish I knew that I would still need sufficient arousal to enjoy sex. As mentioned in the original post, you could have sex without arousal...but your penis will be flat, your glans will be small, and it will be somewhat painful. Fortunately, I had good blood flow (but venous leak) so I take Cialis to help with engorgement and only pump up halfway to maintain a rounder penis.
2) Are you satisfied you made the right decision to get the implant?
Yes. The pills were no longer working and injections were awkward and not very effective (venous leak).
3) Are you satisfied with your surgeons explanation of the surgery, recovery and functionality of the implant?
Yes. Dr. Eid was amazing and I had only minor discomfort and only needed Ibuprofen. Took Percocet on Day 1 but it was too strong.
4) What information was most useful in making your decision to have the implant?
Without a doubt, it was the information on FrankTalk. I did speak to two patients of Dr. Eid's but the posts on here helped put my fears of infection etc. in perspective.
4) What information was least, incorrect or misleading ?
I think it is possible for a reader here to perceive that a "bionic" penis is better than a natural one after reading posts of multi-hour sexcapades. While that may be possible, I don't see how the glans or uretha will remain engorged for even a fraction of that time. In life there are no perfect solutions, only tradeoffs. So, it depends on the functionality you have now....

Re: How I Feel After Two Years
Interesting discussion. Reminds me of the first time my primary Dr's nurse started asking me questions like :
- do you feel safe where you live
- can you pay for medical services you need
- do you have transportation you need to get to appointments
- and many more like that
And I asked her why on earth she was asking me those questions, and found out there was a push to treat patients more wholistically by getting them connected with resources that can help. I figured if it helps some people who really need help I guess its worth putting up with the Q&A.
So maybe the world would be a better place if urologists, and maybe other specialists, offered the same type of wholistic screening. If it helps some people who really need help I figure it'd be worth it. But again, that's intended to get them connected with other resources that can help - not trying to distract the urologists from their mission.
And to my Dr's credit, he did ask a lot of good questions about my ED journey and all the associated challenges.

Wunhunglo,
I would say that everyone is different on this, both due to functionality and also expectations. On the sheer physicality, I do fuck for multiple hours. I don’t pay enough attention whether I’m fully engorged or not. In my case, I’m not sure it matters all that much for my own sensation, though perhaps it does for her as I am bigger when engorged. My experience is evolving, I am only 10 months out from surgery. But in the past few months have been consistently continuing to fuck straight through cumming…. I don’t stop at all. What has also happened is I have started having long, extended orgasms that are a bit less intense than the ones I had before, but longer and in a sense more pleasurable because they go on for longer, are often full body and, well, they don’t stop me… fucking a pussy full of cum is a pretty delightful experience.
As for expectations: my implanted dick is waaaaay better than any version of the dick I had prior to implant. Of course I am a lifelong sufferer, so I don’t have a time when my dick functioned well naturally to compare it to. Everyone’s experience is going to be different. But there is absolutely no comparison for me. My dick isn’t marginally better than prior versions, it’s exponentially better, because for the first time in my life my confidence is through the roof, and that dramatically affects the quality of my sex life because confidence is key in getting girls into bed, haha.
Obviously your experience is your experience, and it’s valuable for people to know that there are a range of outcomes. But I don’t think it is correct to say that the experience I and others have had is misleading… it’s just that it is within a range of experiences.
50. Implanted 5/21/2024 at Kaiser SSF. AMS 700 CX 21cm, 3cm RTE. Penoscrotal. Venous leak my whole life. Pills helped, but hated the side effects; worked less as I aged. Skipped injections. Grateful to bionic brotherhood that helped me make this decision.
