Titan Implant for the average guy

Postby box1906 » Fri May 09, 2014 1:07 am

Hello all! I am a long time sufferer of ED. I had been using TRIMIX DS, which worked. Last year I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. After robotic surgery, injections were no longer effective. I was recommended for an AMS implant and the doc said it was because I had a 5.5 inch Flaccid Stretch Test.

After reading many posts about the Titan having better construction, longevity, I was wondering if there are any guys with simliar measurements who received a Titan implant? Did you lose any length, gain any girth? Are you happy with the implant?

Thanks so much!

I have a Titan. My stretch test was 5.5. I am very close to that. I was 6 inches erect before Peyronies and ED. I don't have any experience with the AMS product but I am very happy with the Titan.

box,
that is about what I stretched, maybe a tad less and with a strong VED measure a tad more. I am still early on in inflate/deflate exercises but I am getting just shy of stretch and girth much like VED.

I thought the AMS would be perfect and chose a surgeon who often used AMS, however, he suggested a Titan for better girth. I believe each individual is different and one should choose the best in surgeons (numbers and skill) and follow his advice and recommendation, not just making a decision ourselves because of what we read. No doubt, both devices are good.

I am 74 and about 40 days post op from duel implant (AMS 700 & AMS 800) (Prostate removed for cancer by surgery) I talked to my Dr in depth about both brands. He recommended AMS in my case because of both items being made by the same company. He has implanted both brands but leans toward AMS because of his success rate with that brand. But all in all if you trust your Dr's advise I would go with the brand he recommended. In all my reading and research I have not found any concrete proof that one brand is actually better then the other, it's all a matter of which brand is best suited for your body. If all goes well you will be very pleased with either. I have no regrets at all.

Every surgeon has their own personal preferences. I have the ams lgx and I'm happy. Lost no size at all. Personally I feel that their is more quality differences between surgeons than the two brands of devices themselves.

I was thinking about getting a consult from either Drs. Kramer or Morey. I feel that since this is such a life altering surgery I wanted to hear the opinions of doctors/patients familiar with Coloplast. I agree that its not the "wand" but the magician so picking a good surgeon will be first on my agenda.

not sure of your location but you might add Milam to list as he is in-between and known to do use both devices. If need info on Morey, just PM me. b

box1096,

I was implanted with the Coloplast Titan in December 2007 after developing ED Post-Prostatectomy in February 2004.
The Titan completely corrected my ED and restored both my sex life and the emotional bond with my wife.
We have both fully enjoyed my Implant for the past 6+ years and counting!
Whatever your choice, I wish you a lifetime of enjoyment with your up-coming Implant.
Please feel free to PM me should you wish to discuss it further.
Bob

Some of these surgeons are listed with AMS and some with Coloplast. The best advice is to choose one that is not listed with either like I did at Duke Hospital in Raleigh. I also have a personal ur that has operated on me for cancer of the bladder 3 times in the last 10 years. He does not do implants but told me the Titian by far is superior to the AMS. After doing a lot of research I found that to be true. 3-4 of the top implant surgeons in the US recommend Titian, there has to be something to that. I was implanted with a Titian back in DEC 2013,I lost no legth and gained over 20% in girth. If anyone would like to get in touch I am on the show and tell list. I am from Raleigh NC and my e-mail is jim27601@yahoo.com If yu want to talk just ask for my number.
