Second revision. 1st failed less than a week, 2nd lasted about 6 months. Both had the AMS 700 CX with MS pump. You can see the pictures of this revision in my post "I'm fixed" but the connector from the pump to reservoir failed. Most all of my swelling is to the front of the pump, so yeah very difficult to grab that thing and pump but it's not as bad as it was, none of my surgeries left me swollen more than 2 weeks, or if I did have any it wasn't much by the end of two weeks.[/quote]

Did DR. Hakki do all your surgeries? 1st failure in a week, 1st revision in 6 months and now another revision. Do you mind saying what the cause of failure was?

No, Dr Hakky only did this last surgery. My timeline is first surgery April 2023 - failed less than a week ( most likely needle strike by Dr.) Revision June 2023 - worked great until Jan 2024 ( about 6 months ) failure of connector between pump and reservoir. Fight with insurance, etc dragged out this revision which was done by Dr Hakky on Feb 18th this year. Dr Hakky said most likely the connector wasn't crimped correctly, but that's not a for sure thing, device was sent back to Boston Scientific for analysis, so no telling when I'll get word back on that. Dr Hakky said he does a double squeeze on the crimp just to make sure everything is seated properly.
