Implant Doctors in Florida

There seems to be just a handful of very experienced implant physicians around the country. I live in south Florida and was wondering if anyone has any experience with Dr. Hakim from the Cleveland Clinic. If you have consulted with any other doctors in Florida I would appreciate your input.

Since noboby had any coment, I'll offer this. There are some implant doctors in the miami area and some do a lot of surgery's. I don't know the names but i have read peoples comments on this. I think there is a doctor in miami who is sorts famous for his implant shop, suposedly he does a lot and offers a cheaper price. Think about it, miami is virtuly loaded with older people, perfect demographics for implants. Rather than search for a urologist, look for doctors specializing in sexual male dysfunction.
I just did a google search for "miami male sexual dysfunction" and got plenty of info. University of Miami seems to have specialists in this area as do a number of doctors in private practice. Also same should be true of Jacksonville having UF there and maybe tallahassee with florida state?

Thanks for the suggestion knotreel. I know who you are referring to regarding the "implant shop" in Miami. I know enough about that guy to stay away.

I will add that there's someone at USF in Tampa, Dr. Rafael Carrion- he's very highly though of, as well as Dr. Edward Geiler in Miami. I realize who you're trying to avoid in Miami and why (Perito…pretty scary criminal record and been sued many times…), but I wanted to offer you these two names, I've heard they're excellent.

He is talking about the super high volume guy with the private practice and the videos. Even my doctor raised his eyebrows and rolled his eyes when I mentioned his name. He did not say anything about him, but the look he gave when his name was mentioned told me that he did not respect that doctor. He gave an approving look and nod when I said Eiads name. I am sure all of these high volume guys know about one another and have reputations among their piers.

Dr Hakim did my implant in December, and I am very happy with mine.

I had my Titan installed in April 2013 by a doctor in Plantation Florida. About everything that could go wrong did go wrong. By Feb. 2014 I had totally lost access to the release valve. Hesitating to call it a revision as it was far more, I saw Dr. Perito in Miami (MY HERO!!!!!!). One year and one day after my first implant, Dr. Perito removed the entire implant and PROPERLY INSTALLED a totally new Titan that has apparently solved all of my problems. I had very little pain and a very quick recovery. Life is good!

I agree with Catman. Dr. Perito did my implant on May 9, 2014 and all has gone better that expected. After reading some of the suffering others have described I feel I have been much more fortunate.

I,too, had my implant done by Dr Perito on 6/18/14. All is great. 4 days post op, and feeling good resting up here in coral gables at the hyatt regency. Dr P requires 2 days complete bed rest post op. Great and gifted surgeon is dr Perito.
Would I do it again? In a heartbeat.

I booked 10 days here just in case I have a problem, but I have had none. Looking forward to great things.
