Thanks man. I hope everything is going well with you too. Been a pretty good 15 months getting used to this thing. Wife & I just went to Vegas & San Diego (celebrated 20 years) for a couple weeks & decided to hit a strip club in Vegas. Went back to a private room/dance with it pumped all the way up since I've never had a stripper dance with a raging hardon before. It was awesome.

Grateful to not have to mess with & rely on injections anymore. Sex has gotten way better & just knowing I can maintain an erection at any hardness for however long I want has become my norm now, thankfully. Recently I even finished before my wife & she wanted more so she could cum too, I laid on my back, said hop on & she did & cummed shortly afterwards. That was not possible before.

Hey Jgoody, thanks for your post it’s a great read.

I’m trying to read as many patient experiences as I can right now - I was recently diagnosed with venous leak and am assessing if I should go with an MPP on account of the reliability of the device / less failures, or if I should go with the IPP on account of the many obvious advantages (despite the risk stats on mechanical failure rates). Been researching off and on for about a year before my diagnosis too, so I feel like I’m pretty informed overall but now that the choice is coming up, it’s more overwhelming than I anticipated!

I’d been initially very focused on the MPP journals / patient experiences because I thought it might be a better choice given my age / potential number of revisions I’ll need throughout my lifetime. But it looks like my insurance might cover the procedure - which I wasn’t taking into account before - and it’s making me think maybe I should go for the IPP first and just see how I fare.

Needless to say, posts like yours are super helpful. Appreciate the holistic review of what’s good / not so good. I’m going to keep going reading more about the IPP over the next two weeks and then I have a virtual appointment with Dr Hakky where we’re going to discuss the implant as my next move.

If I ever have any questions about your own experience, would you mind if I sent you a PM?
Diagnosed with venous leak after having ED majority of my life. Grateful to have some answers, and considering both MPP and IPP as options.

Yeah dude of course! Message me whatever whenever & I'll answer honesty. That's dope if your insurance does cover it for you. Mine approved initially then denied coverage so I paid out of pocket, which was fuct. Set us back quite a bit. I'm in the process of appealing it so hopefully they come around & do the right thing.

I would honestly recommend the ipp for several reasons but have nothing against MPPs. I just couldn't handle a constant boner bent inward while I'm working out or doing activities. I do a lot of random sport like stuff. I like the idea of being instantly ready with a malleable but don't like the idea of undressing & it looking/moving unnatural. At least with ipp it hangs/looks & flops naturally plus can pump it up pretty quickly when needed. It also bulges nicely so looks like your hung thru certain clothing which is a confidence boost.

There's prob several pros vs cons that I'd put in favor of malleable but the most important ones for me personally, are in favor of ipp- flaccid state (which is 99% of the time), aesthetics/comfortability, the ability to adjust hardness which maximizes potential positions/type of sex to be had & maintaining size were top of the list for me.

Malleables pros are pretty obvious & you sound like a smart dude so no need for me to go over them & it wouldn't be from experience anyways. All I can say is 15 months in and I have no regrets. I definitely think we see more of the horror stories here more often which can skew our expectations of the reliability of implants somewhat. They're not perfect but I think they are pretty tough & I would get a revision if needed with the same model. I believe mine will last quite some time & I'll definitely report if there are any issues.

Good luck bruh & lmk if you have any questions for me :D
