Couple of Titan questions?

Postby MissionInflatable » Mon Feb 23, 2026 5:16 am

Just thought I'd throw a couple of questions out to my fellow inflatables in Bionic Land;

1. Have you heard of, or are aware of any Titans (Classic pump) failing? Tomorrow is week 6 post-op for me. I've been cycling for a week - slow progress, but progress nonetheless. I had a lot of trouble deflating today and got concerned that the bars are stuck or malfunctioning? I eventually deflated, but, gave me a bit of a fright. What if the deflate bars did fail! How the Hell do you get rid of a rock hard boner? My surgeon is located three hours flight away!

2. I've read the phrase "aggressive cycling". I'm cycling once or twice a day, which is routine. What's the max number of cycles anyone has done in a day, as a one-off or regularly?

All the best to everyone.

Mission, I don’t have the same implant, so I can’t help you with the deflation problem, but with cycling this is what I did.
My docs protocol was 20 minutes twice a day in the shower, pumped as much as I could get in.
My showers don’t last 20 minutes, so I would shave while still inflated until I couldn’t handle the pain and discomfort at the end of 20 minutes.
I also did some extra cycling on my own 3 to 4 times a week, I would get in a hot tub of water to cover my dick as much as I could to soothe the pain and discomfort. I would pump to 70 percent and bend it in all directions for 5 minutes. I would hold my dick at the base and bend up, down and side to side.
Then I would pump to the max, as much as I could get in and try to see how long I could go without crying uncle.
The time kept getting longer every week that I could stand to be inflated.
At month 5 and 6, I could make it to over an hour without having to deflate from discomfort and pain in my glans.

That’s what I did, good luck brother

I don’t recall reading here of a Titan Classic pump itself actually failing. I can tell you I experienced exactly the same things you’re describing during the first couple weeks of cycling. It seems all the pumps need to soften and go through a break-in period to become user friendly. And there’s a learning curve for the operator too.

Be sure you have the deflation bars firmly and equally gripped (I use my thumb and pointer finger like a pinching action) and compress both bars evenly. If you pressed hard and it didn’t release - SQUEEZE HARDER! You won’t damage it. In time it will free up and you won’t need to apply as much pressure as now when it’s new.

Cycling in a hot tub or hot bath soak works wonders during the early break-in process- but only after the incision is fully closed and your doctor has cleared you to do so.

Also, to this day, when I’m pumped to the max, it takes more finger pressure to release than when comfortably inflated (80%) for sex. At this level, it’s a simple and predictable slightly firm squeeze of the deflation bars and I’m down in seconds.

When I started cycling I cursed my classic pump. It seemed to have a mind of its own and questioned if it was defective or I made a mistake. Now - I’m very happy with it. Be patient, experiment with your technique, give it some time to break-in. I predict that you’ll be pumping up and releasing one handed like a champ in a couple months.

This reminds me of my failure the first time I couldn't deflate. I have the One Touch pump so the deflate button is quite small. My first inflation I could not find the button and ended up back at docs office to get deflated.
I think between the swelling and soreness it's difficult at first.
Cycling I can't help with as I didn't know that was a thing when I got my implant. However, have to agree with others who said a hot bath is a good place to cycle. I would sit in a bath to ease soreness and usually inflate.
Hope things settle down for you and all goes well.

SWorks, Flounder, and OldGuy - Great advice and much appreciated.
I'll persevere. I'm happy with progress to date. I have a warm bath twice a day, which will hopefully break up the squishy stuff that is still in there.
It was comforting to read you had exactly the same experience, Flounder, but now resolved.
Re the cycling, I pump to the max - and can't pump anymore in. I have a rock hard erection. But, I have never felt pain, discomfort, or even that stretching feel that I thought would come? I feel like I could pump more but it just wont let me. Maybe just early days.
That bending thing that SWorks described - is it generally accepted this helps. I saw a TouTube video on it and think I should be doing it more. How much force did you apply to it, SWorks??

Mission, I would bend it at 70 percent as much as I could without causing too much discomfort and pain in my shaft and glans.
It’s a variation on a urologist bending exercise along with cycling.
I couldn’t do his exact exercise because he recommended pumping it to the max and bending your dick up and down and side to side for 5 minutes, I just couldn’t handle the pain at max inflation.

I did that exercise because I wanted to get past all the pain in my glans from max inflation.

Some guys don’t have as much pain and some don’t have any at all. It took me 6 months to get past a lot of pain in my glans being fully inflated.

This... 100% my experience as well. Don't worry, keep up your cycling and it'll get better.
