Pump feels as if it is glued in place in my scrotum

Postby Bionic_Brian » Mon Feb 23, 2026 10:36 am

Hi everyone. Three weeks ago, on February 2nd, I received my AMS 700 LGX and after 18 days I had my first check-up with the urologist, and I was allowed to start cycling and, because that went well right away at the outpatient clinic, I was also allowed in having sex.

Everything seems to be going very well, even the first sex didn't feel too bad (I've heard less positive experiences from people who have had an implant for a longer period), so nothing to complain about, but...

The pump I have in my scrotum seems to be somehow attached to my scrotum itself, as if it's glued in place. This is a very unpleasant sensation, and it really feels like hairs are constantly being pulled out of my scrotum, one by one, very slowly. Not a pleasant feeling.

Has anyone else experienced this, and will it go away, or is this something that needs attention from the urologist when I have my next check-up (which is in two weeks).

Hi Brian,
I'm on day 28 and my pump is also stuck to my scrotum, but in a position that doesn't bother me.

I talked to my doctor about it via WhatsApp and he thinks it's unlikely there's any kind of adhesion or encapsulation at this stage.
I have an appointment with him on March 5th.

Thank you for your reply.
My pump sits very high in my scrotum, so high that when my wife sits on me, she's actually sitting on the pump, or when I thrust, I'm actually hitting it. I'd like the pump to be a bit lower, and I have to keep trying to get it to sit lower with massage and gentle pulling, but as I said, it's stuck to my skin, as if it were glued.

Bionic_Brian, my pump adhered to my scrotum, and I created a thread to gather experiences from other forum members -- link below. My first step was to learn the difference between the pump being secured in the Dartos pouch, versus adhesion. If that's not familiar, its described in detail in the thread below. Hope this provides some helpful information. Will be anxious to hear what your Dr advises regarding the pump sitting high. Most tell patients to pull down in the early weeks and that seems to work for many, but not all. Best wishes !

Hey Bionic. Been there. What is most likely for you and was definitely the case for me was that your surgeon actually imbedded your pump into the dartos facia inside your scrotum. I don’t understand why surgeons don’t regularly explain this step to their patients as it’s a common surgical practice when using a scrotal as opposed to an infrapubic approach so as to help keep the pump in place. If you check with your surgeon I’d bet that is what is happening in your case too.

I'll describe my experience. In the beginning, up until the third week, I could pull it out and it felt loose.

On Friday, February 20th, I felt it get stuck and couldn't pull it out. Luckily, it's in a low position, contouring the prosthesis on the left side, in front of my left testicle.

Since my testicles are atrophied due to testosterone use, it didn't cause any discomfort. My surgery was infrapubic.

Hey guys, old timer here...like I got mine 6 years ago. I strongly suggest you visit your Dr. ASAP. When mine was stuck, I too had the sensation of crawling, but it was not that big of a bother. Did not think twice until my balls got to the size of a grapefruit and I found out I was infected (had 3 operations and finally got my Titan on the 3rd operation). So check it out ASAP!

Hi, thanks for this link, it helps a lot, although I'm afraid it's not the same as mine, at least with the Dartos Pouch. My pump sits very high in my scrotum, right up against my penis, and it's so stuck that I can barely sit down, let alone have my wife sit on me during sex, that's absolutely impossible.

I read in your link that it's stuck at the bottom in the scrotum, and that this happens to many people. I really wish it were a bit lower than it is now. I could try to pull it down, but it feels like I'm tearing my scrotum when I try to pull it, but oh well... I get that feeling when I sit on a chair too.

Thanks for the reply. I discussed it with another urologist (who works for my surgeon), and he told me I should try to pull the pump down in the coming weeks. However, it's stuck firmly in my scrotum.

Thank you for this information, and I'll definitely keep an eye on it. I already mentioned the attachment to my scrotum at my first checkup, and the urologist told me to try lowering the pump by gently pulling on it and massaging the area behind it. It's really stuck to my scrotum.
