Problems deflating the Titan One Touch prosthesi

Postby Fernando1998 » Sat Mar 07, 2026 5:08 am

Hi everyone. I am 5 weeks post-op from a 3-component penile implant (Coloplast Titan One Touch). The surgery went well and the pump works perfectly for inflation.

However, I am having a lot of trouble with the deflation process. I can start the deflation, but it reaches a point where it stops, leaving the cylinders with a certain amount of rigidity and a high angle (semi-erection).

When I went back to the clinic, the doctor was able to quickly deflate the prosthesis to a much more comfortable and natural level. I just can't seem to replicate that same level of deflation on my own.

Could you please share some tips or techniques to achieve a full deflation? I'm struggling to get the base of the cylinders to empty completely. Thanks in advance

5 weeks post op is still quite early I think, but I would guess that you just need to squeeze your penis as you deflate, so hold the button and squeeze. I know its advertised as one touch like you just press it once and it goes from erect to fully soft without doing anything else, but for me its never really worked that way.
ED for entire life, PDE-5s worked in my 20s, then began to fail. Caverject worked but often unavailable.
Implanted with Titan touch 23.2.21 20cm cyl 1cm RTE.
Revision due to crossover done on 21.3.22.

Do you have the same Coloplast Titan One Touch prosthesis? How do you handle the deflation process? Does yours stay rigid in a semi-erect state even after pressing the deflation valve and squeezing the penis?

Maybe I just haven't mastered the right technique yet to get it completely flaccid after deflating. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot, brother.

You are always going to have a semi, it's just how the Titan is. The first few months the cylinders remain pretty stiff.
To deflate I hold the button down while squeezing my penis. One layer of towel over my penis helps. After a warm shower I can usually deflate to the smallest flaccid I can achieve.

Thanks a lot, brother, for your advice. What I feel is that I’m squeezing the penis correctly from the head to the base, even pressing my fingers inward to try and squeeze the section of the cylinders that remains inside the body. It seems like they empty, but when I stand up, they fill back up and become rigid again. I know it’s a technical issue because, at the clinic, the doctor deflated the cylinders much more than I am able to. What is the precise technique? And what do you mean by using a towel?

When you squeeze, make sure you are squeezing as hard as you can. You’re really want to flatten it. You’re not going to hurt anything. Also, as you are squeezing the bulb, see if you could extend your fingers down and press on your perineum at the same time to push fluid out of your proximal cylinders. Then give the bulb a little squeeze to stop the flow. Then do the whole thing again.

Yeah that doesn't sound right.... what you are doing is correct, but they shouldn't inflate by themselves and become rigid again. The fact that your doctor was able to do it correctly suggests that there is nothing wrong with the device though. Hold the button down and at the same time squeeze your penis until it is pretty flat, then try giving it half a pump - you aren't trying to inflate them again, you just want to move the valve spool across. If that doesn't solve the problem I would go back to the doctor and get them to demonstrate how they are doing it.

Well over 2 years in here. I too had the same issues. I watched video after video, followed what I was seeing and in time it all came together. The bulb will become super easy to pump. Just takes time.

Yea, you're doing it right. It's just going to take time for those cylinders to soften some. A single layer of towel over my shaft when deflating seems to help equalize the pressure as I squeeze. Keeps my hand from slipping around too if I'm moist.
And it's important to squeeze the bulb once or twice afterwards. That is supposed to lock the pump so you don't get gravity assisted self-inflation.

if you pump it once after fully deflating it, the locking mechanism activates and doesn't allow any more fluid to come back into the cylinders. Also the one touch deflate is complete bs. ive always had to hold it and deflate. Problem with deflating mine is i need 2 hands to deflate my penis. So when i deflate it looks like some weird crossfit exercise as i grab and squeeze the bottom half of my penis with the hand that's also deflating and use my free hand to deflate the top half of my penis.
