Titan prosthesis rigidity

Postby Fernando1998 » Thu Mar 12, 2026 11:13 am

Good afternoon, brothers. It's been 5 weeks since my Coloplast Titan One Touch penile implant surgery. I started inflating and deflating the implant on March 1st (the third week since the surgery, 11 days ago; I practice twice a day). Inflating the implant works correctly, and I have a good erection. Deflating the implant was more complicated to learn, although I think I've got it working properly now. However, my penis still looks very large, and especially very rigid. It doesn't hang naturally like a flaccid penis; instead, it stays raised, which makes it extremely uncomfortable to adjust my penis to my pants or go about my daily life. Is the problem that I haven't fully deflated the implant? Is this rigidity what I'll always have? If everything is working correctly, how long does it take for a penis with a Titan implant to hang naturally like a flaccid penis?
Thank you very much, a big hug

It's going to take a few weeks/months for your Titan to relax a bit. For a while wearing clothes is going to take some adjusting. The glans are more than likely tender and sensitive. I wore a kid's sock, the elastic part cut off, like a condom the first couple of months when getting dressed. I also resorted to smearing a dab of Aspercream on my shaft to ease the soreness.

Congrats on your new implant. Like you, I have a Coloplast Titan. I had mine implanted a year ago.

Initially the implant is quite stiff even when it is fully deflated. It will soften over time. It won’t always be like it is right now.

So, just make sure it’s fully deflated. (When you have squeezed your implanted penis to get as much fluid out of it as possible, that’s it.) If you have the classic pump you don’t need to do anything to keep fluid from flowing back in from the reservoir. If you have the one-touch pump you need to reset the valve.

Just wear your penis in whatever position is the most comfortable for now. Up, to the side, down. Whatever works. Experiment with different briefs to see if that makes it more comfortable.

But a few months from now it will hang more naturally. I’m at 1 year and it doesn’t hang as loosely as I did before implant, but it looks natural (large but natural). I wouldn’t be embarrassed if I was getting changed in the locker room. It does not look like I have an erection, just looks like I have a decent sized penis.

It will soften over the next several months.
