Week 9 - (day early update):

Pain: so, last few days I’ve been a LOT more active socially and been going into the office a bunch more. Unfortunately, I’m finding myself having much more pain and soreness as a result. It seems to stem from needing to wear the compression boxer briefs to conceal the Rigi10. This has been okay for short stretches, but long days cause me quite a bit of discomfort still. I’m trying to figure out if there’s a better option, but the only way I’m able to conceal the Rigi10 effectively right now is with the compression shorts. I basically am in a position where I’m forced to choose between comfort and concealment. I don’t think I’d have the same issue with the Genesis - this is definitely a big negative with the Rigi10 right now.

It’s odd to me to still be dealing with this pain about 9 weeks out. Trying to stay patient but if this continues on without improvement for another couple months, I’m going to seriously consider revision to a Genesis or honestly to an IPP, purely from the standpoint of being able to go about my life without so much discomfort.

Travel to Atlanta: I’m not stoked to be going back to Atlanta as I mentioned in my previous post. Hoping to have erosion ruled out as a possibility for my pain, I think it’s unlikely but another issue I’m noticing is I feel like my glans is slightly crooked. I don’t remember if it’s always been this way or not. For anyone considering an implant, I highly recommend you take pre surgery photos! I regret not doing that.

Anyways, not feeling great this week overall. Had a good couple weeks last two weeks but things have gone downhill a bit since Wednesday.

JohnnyBorg, sorry you're still experiencing that kind of pain and discomfort. Have you thought about becoming a baggy pants guy ? Apologies if you've covered that in previous posts. I know that's not very 'GQ', but I found that baggier pants gave me more room to work with and I didn't need to contain my junk so tightly. My problem was extended swelling and hematoma, but that kind of pain from tight clothing stayed with me longer than most guys. Sounds corny, but remember recovery is often two steps forward, one step back. Hang in there and hope things turn out for the best with Hakky.

Thanks Chuck! The issue is related to the angle at which the Rigi10 hangs - if it had a better bend angle, I could get away with looser fit underwear.

I’m testing out separatec underwear right now as more of a “middle ground” solution between compression boxers and regular underwear. My pants would be really odd if they got any baggier - I actually have lots of room in the thigh and groin already and notice the issue is definitely at the underwear level.

Hey Thisworld - I don’t wear jeans ever since getting the implant - high rise trousers are WAY more comfortable for me and when paired with compression boxer briefs are able to completely conceal things. I’ve actually packed my jeans away since I wasn’t planning on touching them!

Below is a photo from user mbambo from his Rigi10 journal - when I was trying out my old jeans, this is pretty much what it looked like. One might look at the photo and think this is fairly concealed, but when you’re actually walking around it becomes a lot more obvious especially due to the asymmetry. At least that’s been my experience. My bulge is a little worse actually, because anatomically I’ve always had a slight bend at my glans slightly upwards. This makes my bulge look less… “bulge-y” and a bit more pointy like a semi erection.

However - like I was saying: high rise trousers are amazing for concealment. Truly incredible. I can’t emphasize this enough. I have these pants from Casatlantic (photo of the pants below from their model shots) - they are not cheap, but are a very high quality pant you can wear year-round. Tons of room in the seat and thigh. When I’m wearing compression boxers or even seperatec briefs, and tuck my penis left or right down a pant leg, you absolutely CANNOT tell I have an implant. At all.

High rise trousers are incredibly comfortable and concealing by very simple tailoring principles. The extra width in the legs and the way they drape on account of the rise makes them perfect for hiding an implant. They are also - in my opinion - very flattering for most guys. Wear them with a tucked shirt or an untucked sweater or polo. Boom. Done.

You should absolutely consider it, they’re truly great. Very cool company, I’ve been following them for awhile - their trousers all have roots in 1940’s military heritage, it’s an interesting read in their Our Story section of their site (I’m a nerd about that kind of stuff). The Taza pant is great and very modern flat-front fit. Their Tanger is great too if you like pleated pants (not everyone does, I do though and have a pair of both).

I think they’ll likely drop some linen pants too for the summer, all in the same high rise cuts.

You should absolutely consider it, they’re truly great. Very cool company, I’ve been following them for awhile - their trousers all have roots in 1940’s military heritage, it’s an interesting read in their Our Story section of their site (I’m a nerd about that kind of stuff). Sadly they don't have my length. I'm a 36" length and they top out at 34". But these look a bit like BDU pants, and it's easy to find those lots of places!
